Didn't notice until I watched that video, but why do all the MSU players have 20 on the sides of their helmet? m He was one of their players that got shot and killed in Vegas this year.

I think on paper we have the edge in reference to the match up with the Panthers. We are more athletic but they have more experienced players on a whole. The game will come down to turnovers and mistakes. We must minimize the penalties! USD will play smart football and the Yotes will win!!

All I can say is hats off to this coaching staff for making the necessary adjustments at halftime! Great win on the road!

Interesting I just read that USD leads the nation in tackles for a loss and is the only team with 5 100 yard receivers. That is impressive and hopeful!

Opposing defense's need to be worried about the run period. If you don't or can't run the ball for whatever reason, you are now a one-dimensional team. One-dimensional opponents are a defensive coordinators dream! Frankly, I think there are several obstacles presenting themselves which is presenting a poor running game for the last three games. The reads, the lanes, etc. This coaching staff will figure it out and make whatever adjustments are needed in order to improve quickly even if it means changing up the depth chart. I did notice while watching the game that when they picked up the tempo, they executed better. It didn't let Weber's defense adjust and it was evident that was helping the offense execute. it didn't seem as though the offense was able to keep the tempo up consistently throughout the game. The personal fouls and penalties must stop, they are killing momentum and rhythm for the offense and placing the defense in tough positions. This is inexcusable and out of character for a team coached by this staff.

The OL did not play to their capability this game. The concerning part is that now their weekness is exposed...picking up the blitz. I’m confident our coaches are aware that this is a priority to fix and Simmons never had any time to get in a rythym and he was running for his life pretty much for 4 quarters. He had some mistakes but all in all I think he played decently with the lack of protection. Furthermore there has not been any running game yet...which none of us were expecting. If you dont have a balanced attack... you have no attack! There is not one football team at any level that can be successful being one dimensional. For this game it is unfair to even suggest Simmons is at fault. The team looked flat with no energy or swagger. I think our defense held up under the circumstances. Point blank Weber came out with energy and swagger and we didn’t!

... when a team gains the reputation for being extremely cocky or engaging, refs look for it much quicker than they do the other team without that reputation.... Kind of like Hingle McCringleberry? I'm roooolling!!! Hysterical!!!

Does anyone think the altitude will affect our guys? I know when NFL teams play at mile high they have oxygen available and prepare to play at that altitude. I know Ogden is not mile high in Denver but could it be an issue. Thoughts?

What I saw in Simmons yesterday that is commendable. He had bounce in his step, he showed energy, emotion and the most important of all confidence! I was never suspect of his potential in running, arm strength, decision making etc. He displayed what “Austin” is capable of not a Strevy wanna be! There should be no question on this board about his accuracy and running ability!!! He is only going improve with each game. I love Strevy...but it is Simmons time! BTW he is not my son... my son plays defense😊

My take on this game is that this was a textbook example of how important special teams is! That return for a touchdown by Zuber got the 49, ppp KState fans back in the game. As most of you know a crowd can be considered the 12th man. The delay of games on offense I’m sure were partly due to the noise of the crowd. Our offense is a tempo offense and those delay of games threw them off kilter a bit. Remember cramp gate last season by the bunnies? That was exactly what their game plan was...to disrupt the offenses tempo. I am super disappointed we didn’t come out with a win but we played our hearts out and if there are fans that don’t believe in this coaching staff 110% then they need to check themselves. We are going to be a force in the MO Valley and I’m beyond excited to see the progress and success of this team. As for Simmons he will learn from some missed opportunities just as the rest of the team will learn from any mistakes! I just pray the fans show up and sell out the dome every game! This team deserves it!!!
