Does anybody know if they started interviewing for the 3 vacant coaching positions? Or who is being considered?

I live in the KC Metro and The Z-man at the former Okie Joes now Joe's KC is the best BBQ sandwich hands down. Buuuuuut you all need to try a fairly new BBQ restaurant called Q 39. Q 39 is located on 39th st in KCMO. Trust me ...you will NOT be disappointed. It is more of a sit down restaurant than a grab n go. Manhattan KS is approximately 2 hours west of Kansas City MO.

9-2 on the season and we are seeded in the playoffs!

Well deserved! Strevy is what football is all about dedication, heart and grit! Also we have to acknowledge and give Ted Schlafke the KUDOS for developing and coaching him to improve to the level he is at in only his second season with the team. That is incredible coaching!

This doesn’t shock me...I’m sure other FBS teams might be interested in Bob. He has proven that he can recruit, build, rebuild and win at all the levels he has coached...he deserves to go to the next level and continue in his career. I would hate to see him go for selfish reasons but for him and his staff I’m glad for their opportunity if it’s true.

With this coaching staff ...nobody is guaranteed a starting position next year. Nielson and his staff have made it evident that they want to raise the level of competition every spring ball and camp in competing for starting spots. This has been proven if you see how many starters this year were freshman and red shirt freshman that took upper class mans spots. Obviously not talking about 2 Starting suspended corners (suspended). So I would say Simmons is not the guaranteed starter next year. The QB competition in camp will be a great one to watch. Simmons has a slight edge cause of experience but that alone will not win him the starting position. The QB the performs the best in camp for the chosen offense and gives the team the best chance to win will be the starter for 2018! I’m hearing good things about all of them.

LMAO!! Well Yote 53.....yes! I love the game of football, I was a tomboy and did NOT play with dolls, I was outside playing "kill the guy with the ball" aaaaaaaand when I had the chance to play in a semi-pro women's tackle football league at 36..I did for 5 years...LOVED IT!!! To top it all off my ex husband of 18 years played in the NFL for 13 of those years and my 2 boys have played since 2nd grade who are now 19 and 16 still playing. Soooooooo I guess you can say it has been a major part of my life and my husband now isn't a sports guy so our house is the reverse during football season......I tell him "you know what season it is do not make any plans counting me in that hinder me watching all my football..high school, college and pro"! It works well:)!

Great find Kiyoat! I watched the entire first quarter. Penalties is what we cannot have especially when they convert to 1st down from 3rd down. Praire View shot themselves in the foot with penalties a ton in the first quarter in which ended up with SHSU scoring. A team like this, we cannot make mistakes. Briscoe has a quick release...quickest I have seen yet in the FCS. The commentators referred to him as a "gunslinger". We need to use that to our benefit and get some INT's! They do not play the offense as quick as we do! The running back got some big gains up the middle....gotta limit that. Their receivers are athletic and can avoid tackles very well, they are approx same athleticism as the SIU receivers. DB's gotta make the tackles. They run a ton of bubble screens. Our linemen (offense and defense) are bigger and way more talented than Prairie View's from what I saw in this game. We will win this game if we play a disciplined game on defense and a balanced game on offense for sure! They would not be 10 and 1 in the MO Valley conference!

The Any Given Saturday pro boards almost unanimously have us getting slaughtered on Saturday. Several posts are calling for a 21 point win by the Bearcats. I'm heading down to Houston and look forward to making those keyboard warriors eating crow. Go yotes!!! I read the board and what they are all failing to realize is that both defenses are playing each others offense. With that being said it is the defensive scheme's and strategy that are going to win the game. USD coaches will take in to consideration the players they have playing defense and devise a defensive game plan. I will assume that the SHSU coaches will do the same. My guess is that our coaching staff is going to prevail....they are smart. On offense we are going to have to get the running game going in order to win. I predict the game will be won in the 4th quarter and USD will be the winner 38-35
