I don't think Sioux Falls does a great job hosting the tourney. In my opinion, they cater to SDSU fans for whatever reason, and I don't need some sanctimonious bunny coming on here and claiming the reason is that they support it so strongly. Sure you do, but no one else is given the chance. You'll never convince me that there's equal opportunity to get your hands on decent tickets. I wish I knew how this happens. This was supposed to be a reseating year, but it was the same stuff. I've had season tickets every year in the past, looked at improving my lot this year, jumped through all the hoops and when I went in, immediately when it opened up, there no seats between the baselines except for singles. I thought, "What the hell," and ended up not buying any. Still went to two of the three game and watched the other on TV. I'll never buy season passes again because I'm not going to spend good money for crap seats.

As to the late string of fouls, I thought at the time that we were fouling on purpose to get then into a bonus situation. It was 5 to 1 team fouls at the point with just a short time left and the bunnies starting to use clock, so the four quick fouls were to our benefit such as it was as they would have most likely used the entirety of the shot clock every possession. We needed to get the clock stopped, hoped they missed their free throws, (which they didn't) and get possessions. SDSU's game plan in the last minute or so was basically to stand and watch us make a layup and then walk down and shoot free throws.

Man disappointing finish. With that in mind, im understanding of the frustration but also think this fan base needs a reality check. Let’s give this guy some time and grace to build a program- not a year to year stop gap like his predecessor. If you have watched basketball for any period of time and listen to EP talk hoops you know it’s a matter of time. He hasn’t hit the lottery with Matt Mooney like smith did just yet but his first full class hits campus this summer. Whining here and on social media is embarrassing - be better. Support this program and let’s turn it around. Go yotes. Excellent post!

Hey! We get it. You hate Karius. You never post on anything else except for the constant bitching and complaining about how bad everything is with women's hoops. It gets old. I'm just curious as to what your reason or real agenda is. I mean it is a fair statement. You subtract out the 3 non-D1’s and you’re looking at 17 wins. I’m in the camp of we gotta see how next season plays out but I still think certain levels of criticism are fair this season. We may have gotten to 20 wins but let’s not pretend we didn’t struggle against some bad teams and that the schedule that got us there is impressive in terms of the quality of most opponents. No, what irks me id the fact that there are a few newer posters who comment on nothing else but women's basketball, and from the very beginning have been all over our coaching staff's asses about absolutely every little thing possible. You'll never convince me that there's no personal agenda. Do I wish we were back on top? Sure. That's why I buy season tickets, support the Howling Pack and donate to "Unite for USD". I'll stick to my guns that Plietzeweit left the program much worse than she inherited and face it, if it hadn't been for Covid there wouldn't have been any Sweet 16 team because Lamb, Sjerven and Korngable would have all been out of eligibility. Karius has had to come in and start from scratch. Those of you bitch about culture, the fanbase is part of that, and what we have on here are some extremists who seem to want to tear everything down. We went through this in football a few years ago in football with one player's dad who was absolutely off the wall with his criticisms of the coaches and even other players because his kid got switched from QB to the defensive side of the ball.

That was hard to watch. We won, but it felt like a loss. We play with no heart or grit. Fans want to cheer just give us a reason. If you play with grit and heart I’ll cheer for you even if you never win. And that lack of heart, grit, and culture is on the coaches. Also let’s hold the front of the bench to the same standards as the end of the bench. Tired of seeing a particular players bad body language on the bench when the shot isn’t going. Get up and cheer! And I’m over the “these aren’t her recruits”. These girls were recruited by many coaches. All who I am sure have different coaching styles. Coaching involves developing that talent and coaching to the talent you have. High school coaches never get to pick their recruits. They build and coach on what they have. So many mismanaged things this year. The senior thing last night could have been handled differently. With all the staff on the bench stuff like that shouldn’t happen. Also noticed recruits in attendance. One was Ava Cossette a 24’ 🤔 lol and another a local from Mitchell 29’. Unsure of the other ones. Please explain. I mean when we lose, we suck and when we win, we still suck. I'd just really like to know what all you basketball savants out there specifically see or don't see. Personally, what I don't see talentwise is any present or future All-Americans, mid-major POY candidates or pro players as in the past. Certainly not an indictment on the players on this squad and I do feel that they're playing up to their ability. Call me naive if you want, but it's better than doing nothing but criticizing, bitching and moaning about every single little thing. This coaching staff didn't come in with everything prebuilt for them like the previous regime. Other than Larkins they had to start from scratch utilizing players with basically zero experience.

Tremendous performance. Shot extremely well and turned it over TWICE. Double-teams on Morgan were largely effective. Bison have been playing really well, and I thought they'd make a run, and they never really did. It appears they can't get the 7 seed now, but I don't have an abacus. Yotes locked in to the 8 - 9 game. Denver has the tie breaker over the Yotes by virtue of their one win over SDSU. So, remembering that, how you say, "questionable" double OT loss at Denver seems pretty significant now.

Does anyone know why Coleman is redshirting this year? I don't know for sure, but I suspect it was to get him stronger. My opinion is that he's just too small, but hopefully I'm wrong and he can contribute. With all the talk about athleticism, he's as explosive as anyone in the league. Problem I noticed with him last season was the lack of an outside game. I would imagine that's what's been his focus this season in practice. If he can develop into a three-point threat his size won't matter much.

I agree that ORU is a bad matchup, but I think NDSU is even worse. I think Thursday's game might get real ugly. Since a narrow loss to the Jacks at home, NDSU is 6-0 and averaging almost 90 points a game. They are the only real threat to SDSU. NDSU has the best player in the conference, even though my guess is that a deserving Brooklyn Meyer may win POY. I could tell Jory Collins was a good coach when he took over, and it's taken a few years, but they are dangerous now. For the Yotes, again, it was more of the same. When they play a team that isn't athletic, their skill wins the day. But when they play an athletic team, that athleticism overwhelms their skill. They gave up a 25-3 run early and the game was over. They needed to be able to score 80 to have a chance and against a terrible defensive team, they only scored 13 points in the first 15 minutes. They scored at an 80-point pace the rest of the game but it was too late. USD is now locked into the 4-spot. That's the best summary I've read on this team. No amount of criticism is going to change that.

First half and second half were two completely different games. As I said earlier if the refs let them play we're in trouble because KC is very physical and in the first half they definitely let them play. Eleven total free throws and I don't think either team was in the bonus. Half goes to the 'Roos. Tightly called game would benefit USD. Second half refs started calling everything. 54 total free throws shot and both teams are in the double bonus right around the ten-minute mark. Half goes to the "Yotes. I thought we played hard, never gave up and almost got it done. I'm thinking/hoping that these tight games are going to start turning our way. Better to think positively than to just sit back and bitch and moan.

From what little info I've gleaned on KC is that they're the most physical team in the Summit and play a pretty wide-open, almost streetball style. How the game is called will be important. Let'em play we might be in trouble. Calling it tightly would be to our benefit.

Is there a Coyote ticket site to get summit league tickets or purchase from a fan not going or list them for sale? Do schools do that? I am new to this board. Thanks I'm guessing there's a decent chance of someone on here offering up tickets at some point. I think the USD block is already gone. Those are crappy seats anyway. Otherwise probably just go to the Denny's box office and see what's available.

The women's 4 x 4 ran a 3:34:54 at the Tyson Invitational at Arkansas yesterday. Their time broke the old school record by an amazing 8 seconds (which in terms of distance is about 65 yards). This really doesn't surprise me. Amazing thing is there are several runners that could be subbed in and they'd still be able to shine. Depth here in unreal.

He certainly made the right decision when he signed with the Chiefs. Great for him!
