Yotes locked in to the 8-9 game on Friday night at 7 PM.
If the Yotes win, they will play SDSU at 6PM on Saturday night. State-U on a Saturday night in March in the Denny might set an attendance record.

They sold it out in 17-18 when both the men and women played for the ship if my memory serves me correctly.

Those were 4 really good basketball teams.

Are the Yotes still scheduled to play this Friday? Outside of listing the first game dates and times there is nothing posted on GoYotes.com. I have received zero emails with regards to the hospitality room hours or what time the Coyote Walk will take place. Virtually nothing posted on this message board.
The tournament starts tomorrow. What is going on?

It's strange to me that I feel like the Yote men have a better chance to get to the championship game than the women, ... with the men as a 9-seed. It's where we are at, though. I want to generate some enthusiasm about the tournament, but... finishing last is a tough pill to swallow.

Well, thoughts about tonight? Outside of the embarrassment of playing in the play-in game, I really don't know what to expect. They've shown the ability to play with anybody, but they've also shown they only do that about once every 5 or 6 games. We'll see I guess. Honestly, I'm more looking forward to the hospitality room. The Denny will be weird today without all the state people. I like that part, but this Friday game feels kind of like a losers bracket.

Definitely strange to be playing on a Friday. Need to win tonight and beat SDSU tomorrow night to generate some excitement in the USD MBB fan base. If that were to happen, there should be plenty of good seats available for Monday and Tuesday.

Using the Massey matchup tool and odds, the Yote men have around a 3% chance to get to the championship game. The Yote women have a 26% chance. But I feel like the odds are less meaningful on the men's side. Too much parity.
For the men, Massey is giving us a 34% chance to play on Saturday, and a 9% chance to play Monday.
(of course, if we DO win tonight, our odds of playing on Monday go up to 26%)....

Yeah, no idea what to expect. Yotes have two players who have played in this tournament, ORU has a host of players who have. I think the Yotes are playing better than ORU, but even though they can beat anyone I'm not terribly confident.
Looking forward to the hospitality room.

The lack of experience this team has in the conference tournament seems like a negative. At least they get an introduction in a less full Denny against ORU instead of being dumped right into the State-U game?

Neither team brought their best game tonight. At least it makes for a competitive game. Not much flow on either side.
If we lose it will be turnover margin again. We're winning in most other critical areas.
Either that or the bobs need to go cold. Isn't looking good at the moment
