Lastly, for those unaware, 247 has Jacob Arop evaluated as a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Yes, you are reading that correctly. We have signed a FOUR STAR prospect! LinkGoogle his name and watch some of his basketball clips. Unbelievably quick and agile for 6'6 280. He has the potential to be something special.

I saw Joy and Walker in Walmart last night. I knew Joy had her second knee surgery and she says it's coming along good. I did not know however that Walker is in a walking boot. She was allusive of coarse, I'm sure they're instructed to be. I was able to put together that she has been dealing with an achilles injury for some time, having to wear a boot when not playing and restricting practice time/intensity. Does anyone know the extent of the injury? We all know achilles injuries are no laughing matter either. Please people, don't use this thread to criticize any of these girls, we have no idea what is happening on the inside and what pain they have to endure.Might be one of the best statements ever made on here.

The type of player this team misses the most is a Maddy Krull. A confident leader directing the offense. Grace Larkins would be able to play shooting guard where she would excel as well as moving to the point whenever the dream point guard heads to the bench. As mentioned, our half court game is very poor. One other thing, it should be obvious by now that Natalie M. should be starting and out on the court as much as possible. Actually, I think we have that player on the roster in Joy Bergstrom. Unfortunately, she's been injured and had to have surgery both years she's been here and has yet been able to play. How that translates for her future I have no idea.

Oh how I am missing the Coach P. days. This is getting old quick. Me too. I also wish she had left the program in as good a shape as she inherited instead of leaving it for the next coach to start from scratch.

State has some ballers and they earned that win. I really don’t think we were prepared, mentally or physically, for this game though. Kayla has her work cut out for her, whether some want to acknowledge it or not, as state is the bar for the summit league and we are far from their level. We aren't even in the same category anymore. The sad part is, state isn't that good of a team compared to other SL teams we've seen in the past 10 years or so. The Yote teams with Seekamp, Chloe/Sjervs, etc. State teams with Miller and Selland. All those teams would wipe the floor with the state team that's now won 40 straight in the summit league. It's pretty wild how far we've fallen in terms of level of play. This State team can't hold a candle to the Miller/Selland teams from the recent past nor to the Duffy/Lamb squads of the same era. Here's a fun fact: every player I mentioned is a South Dakota high school graduate. Total starters tonight for both teams from South Dakota, zero. Total minutes played from South Dakota graduates 8, zero for SDSU and 8 for USD. Oliva Kieffer from Rapid played 8 minutes. I find that kind of odd given that South Dakota high school girls hoops turns out some really good players.

I would have to agree with everyone who wants a strategy or game plan that wears opponents out and makes more shots. Especially the make more shots philosophy. That should really be a point of emphasis.

Just a guess here, but after the season we had last year and with what we have returning I'm thinking no FCS team was very eager to schedule an away game against us.

I f we can't get anyone to schedule us what are we to do? I heard Stephen F. Austin was in play, but they wanted the moon and stars. In reality this should have been taken care of two years ago not waiting until seven months before the season.

Get to watch the CFL again this summer/fall. Last time Streveler played for them I thought Canadien football was really fun. Loved all the motion and how wide open it was.

Fanatic, maybe figure out how to post on this site so you don't keep shooting blanks. It's not that difficult but quite possibly a metaphor for your life.

That hold on Bruns on the last inbounds was so obvious. I mean, the front of his jersey was facing backwards. I realize officiating to a tough gig, but these guys make well over a thousand dollars a game and can't even see something as blatantly obvious as that? At the most crucial time of the game? It just seems to me that the officiating has been awful as a whole this season. The SDSU game for instance: neither team got screwed, but neither team ever being in the bonus in either half? That's insane, especially given how physical the game was. I get the players adapted, but at some point we're not supposed to be watching pickup ball at the "Y".

There's a disconnect between what this team is and what some fans want it to be. The team continues to play hard. It has executed frequently in high-pressure, late-game situations, which are not generally hallmarks of poorly coached teams. Maybe, just maybe, they're a 13-7, 12-8, 11-9 type of team. I'm not really sure where the wins on this schedule are that HAVEN'T happened. I know I've seen one or two wins that probably should have been losses. Agree. No close loses on the schedule that should have been wins. Luckily we were coached up enough to win tight ones vs 8-10 Loyola, 6-11 UT Martin, 4-15 Omaha, and the Minneapolis Miracle vs 11-8 St. Thomas. ...and all on the road
