Just read that all of his staff is remaining intact... I find this very interesting. I wonder how many of them will stay or follow Ed to wherever.

I'm not happy to hear this news. I liked Ed immensely and will miss him on the sidelines. If Ed is done then I would assume that his staff is gone too. I don't imagine any of his assistants will get an interview. So I wonder if Sayler has someone in mind or if there will truly be a "search".

I believe that Ed has had to make do with the coaches available to him because of the budget. If we could afford to hire more experienced coordinators I honestly think we would. I have no idea what our OC and DCs make but I'm sure it's a lot less than their counterparts at UNI (for instance). I believe everyone knows just how little education is valued in this state (I think I just threw up in my mouth) so I'm afraid USD will not be able to hire the kind of experience we're looking for.

Okay, I've had a night to sleep on it and I've got something to add to this cyber-lynching. Not one coach or coordinator yesterday fumbled the ball. The players on the field lost the ball three time that all resulted in UND touchdowns. Doesn't matter that Warren's first fumble was a blown call, the whistle wasn't blown until UND cross the goal line with the ball. Now, take out the 14 points off of those fumbles prior to the 4th quarter and who knows how the game would have played out. Would have been 34-3...

I've been holding my two cents a bit now just so they weren't clouded over by the enormous letdown we all wen through today. How many of you started to get "that" feeling when UND scored their first TD in the fourth quarter? Anyway... I don't know what happened on the sideline and I don't know what was being said over the headphones. What I do think, because again I really don't know, is that Ed has very little to do with the game on Saturdays. I think that, like any teacher, he let's his students, that being his coaches, gain experience by doing. I don't know if at what point he's seen enough and feels the need to take the clipboard away and try to right the ship. Maybe he never does - thinking the only way his coaches will not make the same mistakes is to let them learn the hard way. Well,it appears that none of them have learned anything.

We can't let this game go Cal Poly on us! USD's 27 unanswered points are awesome!

Here's an interesting twist in the discussion. What kind of numbers would Powell have if we had a true "pocket" passer? We've had a litany of dual threat QBs recently going back to Wesley. Before that only Ryan Justice and Peter Martin stand out as more traditional "passing" QBs. Nothing against JVM but I wonder what a USD offense with a QB like Lincoln's Alex Shultz would look like...

You're entitled to your opinion, like everyone else, but I think everyone likes a sunny day once in awhile.

It's a really long, ultra-boring drive to Grand Forks but I'm going. I hope a lot of other Yote fans can go too!

Besides... I'd rather share first place than have sole possession of second!

Another crushing road loss! I wish I could say I'm surprised. Too upset to speak rationally.

We won this game today despite our offense. We were out runned and out passed but still got the W. I wish I knew what was going on with the O but something just isn't clicking. The play calling was, at times, questionable. The execution was, at times, ineffective. Just dont' know.

I think USD mid 30 UCD upper teens. How's that for commitment? My suspicion is that USD will try and put up big numbers early then run the ball late. At least I hope we're able to accomplish both!
