A big and rowdy crowd will be very helpful on Saturday! SUU likes to make a lot of play calls at the line of scrimmage so 10,000 'Yotes screaming would be great!

There was a moment of Coyote solidarity in the second half. There was a penalty against Lindenwood but when the ref announced "first down South Dakota State" the few people that were there soundly booed him.

Agreed, the whole atmosphere was just flat. To look up at the scoreboard and see that we pitched a 30 point shutout would have been hard to believe. The running game was, for the most part, non-existent. The passing game was, well, also non-existent. The defense was the only excitement on the field. They totally dominated and showed their QB what the Dome ceiling looks like five times. Maybe the level of competition isn't what it will be next season but we gotta find a spark for next week or it could be ugly!

I'm looking forward to the game for a few reasons. First, I wanna see how 'Yotes respond from last week's game. Yeah, they got beaten by a better team but I hope there's no carryover. Second, we've never seen this team before. I'm not interested in any long term rivalry with the Lions but it's fun to me to see a different uniform line up against us. I hope I'm not the only person at the game too!

First a quick joke.... How many Badger fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Two - one to do the work and one to tell you how great Ron Dane was (rimshot)...
I'm afraid it's gonna be over 50 to under 10, but I hope I'm pleasantly surprised!

While it's never good to overlook any opponent I think the next game worthy of thinking about would be D-Day vs. Southern Utah. This week should take care of itself, what we're gonna do to NW OK will be done to us the following week and following our Wisconsin beat down we've got another NAIA team. However, don't look ahead to that yet!

I know the ones and twos will need to get some work in but I hope to see the backups get some playing time. See what Vander Maten can do... check out Noah Pearl...

It was fabulous being there today and being able to see the kids' reactions as the game went on. Very proud of them, the coaches and of being a Coyote today. If USD isn't on the front page of the Argus sports section tomorrow.... I'm canceling my subscription!

Yes, we need to show up and we need to be loud! I have a friend who is a season ticket holder that is routinely asked to sit down and be quiet by those who sit around him. Those people need to told "THIS IS A FOOTBALL GAME!" I normally don't get this anxious about a game until the day of, but in this case I can't remember a home opener I've every been this psyched about.

I hope the coaches and players don't get whiplash from the drastic changes in styles of play between AF and EW! Going from a team that doesn't pass to a team that barely runs...

Hopefully they'll have more info to share tonight at CJ Calloway's. Really glad the game is a 1:00 kick with Presidents' Bowl going on here in SF!
