Plan on playing in Brookings when Yotes chew up birds in Iowa.
Summit League was right on edge of getting an at large this season. Shame that SDSU & USD on collision course so early in wnit.
Good luck in Iowa, and let's fill up an arena for these great teams in the next round.

#2 at USD all-time scorer, and picks up another Summit POTW. Amber is a difference maker for the Yotes.
Congrats to a young lady who's brought good positives to the USD athletics.

If a Summit team can knotch an L on the Jacks, Yotes, in the Dome look as likely as anyone. Hegge is a great player and was appropriately selected as POTW by the Summit League. IMHO, the DEPTH of the Jacks will wear down the Yotes, and SDSU's defense has really shaped up, even more than in the SDSU/USD clash in Brookings. Likely to be a defensive clash, and first to 60 will get W. Congrats to the Yotes on a tough fight from behind W in OT. Amber Hegge's performance was correctly picked again as POTW by Summit League. She basically willed the Yotes to the W, with great defensive support by the rest of team in white and red. Good luck the rest of the season, and I hope to be reading about some USD wins in a post-season tourney.

Congrats on the win. It is amazing what can happen in rivalry games. As CoyoteFan observed above, no way that SDSU shouldn't have won this game. But the perfect storm of events, and attitudes prevailed last night.

For those Big Easy fans - ESPN Full Court is picking up the Midco Sports Net feed, so FOX N HOUND IN HARAHAN, LA will be showing the game.
Come decked out in your USD Red/white or SDSU blue/yellow and join this RabidRabbit in cheering on our teams while enjoying Abita's. I'll buy your first round, mention my handle!

how great would it be if this team was eligable for post season ? Finish #2 in Summit, and USD would be the WNIT auto select, if Jacks win the Summit tourney. It would be wonderful if both the WNIT & NCAA tourney participants were South Dakota schools for the Summit reps. USD may have a strong enough resume, especially if win out, to be an at-large WNIT selection. The Jacks were an at-large WNIT participant in 2007 (third year of transition, last as independent/GWC). Went to the "elite 8", losing to eventual WNIT champ, Wyoming, @wyoming.

www.summitmadness.com/This Oakland backer does a refreshing look at the Summit. SDSU slipped from 1st to 3rd on the basis of the ORU game. But overall, Jacks are much higher than Yotes. 64-19-4 in Brookings over the years + difference in teams' strengths and weakness, IMHO, Yotes will be returning to Vemillion with tails between legs after getting thumped.
