It's already Wednesday and no talk about the game? What's the thoughts on this game and I don't want to hear people say they have thrown in the towel! I think we should have a good shot at this one.

The Lamar game is the second least important game of the year and THE least important road game. USD is kind of in a no win situation with this one. They are expected to come home with a win and other than sending the seniors out on a good note, there is not awhole lot to be gained from this one. With the conference talk still being popular although winding down combined with the post game fallout from the Cal Poly game combined with USD playing Nebraska in basketball has kind of knocked the Lamar game down a few pedastals in importance. I will be listening to the game but I will not get real up or real down unless the Yotes manage to slip up which would cause all hell to break loose in this camp.
The Yotes should roll but Lamar will probably make it a game. 28-13 Yotes in this one.

In a no-win situation? If USD does get the win, unless it's close, then it's a positive heading into the offseason. Trust me, heading into the offseason with a good win is a lot better than a loss, something playing football would teach you....

greetings from the Texas coast. Looks like rain on Saturday. Hope your team feels like it's not an important game. Here's my prediction...if y'all have a running qb, y'all win...a pocket guy, we win

well according to Big Red due to the type of QB that USD has you can chalk this one up as a Yote victory. But on the other hand if the coaching staff tries to turn Dante into mostly a pocket passer on Saturday it looks like Lamar should have a good chance in this one.

Hey, to everyone's amazement, there is a football game still to come this weekend. I think everyone forgot!
So USD takes on a Lamar team that is in its first year of football. They have been getting taken behind the woodshed a bit these past few weeks, and USD needs to jump on that.
Lamar plays the spread them out, pass it around offense it seems, so the USD pass defense needs to be on its toes on this one. Pass pressure will also be a key as well. Can't expect the corners to cover the WRs for more than 5 seconds.
The USD offense just needs to flat out attack, especially in the air. Move Dante around in the pocket and have him make plays with his legs if he needs to. USD needs to use the Minnesota mentality they had in this game and end the year with a big victory. They need a big win going into the off-season here.

I'll be listening to the game tomorrow, other than that I don't have much to say.

I supposed this can be the game thread as well. The Yotes are expected to win this game but Lamar did beat SE Louisiana on the road which is something USD was not quite able to do. Granted SE Louisiana has seemed to regress since than but Lamar can keep this one close if they have a smart game plan.
This is a game where I do think USD needs to run the ball to take advantage of what will likely be an undersized Lamar front 7. The more this game takes on a normal non sophisticated nature the more USD should win.
On the other hand if Lamar comes out and tries to spread out the USD defense they just might have enough speed to be able to do some things. If this thing comes down to a game of adjustments I think Lamar might be able to outscheme the Yotes moreso than to out talent them.
Kickoff at 6PM Central. Under 2 hours to go.
After the Minnesota game SDSU fans wanted to compare the two common opponents SDSU has with USD. Both of those games are coming in the next two weeks, counting today.
NDSU leads 14-7 at half, so USD wins part one of the comparison.

UNI was also a common opponent. There are 3 common opponents. So there are two parts to each common opponent, coyotefan? Does it really matter who won the first half. It matters what the final score is.

NDSU now ahead 24-14 just into the 4th quarter. Odds are that the marker is going back to it's rightfull place.

Get ready for some South Dakota Huskers football, only 5-10 minutes until gametime.
