Swain says we lost a heartbreaker tonight? Didn't sense much heart tonight. Pathetic!

Frankly I hope this is the last game that Swain calls for the Yotes.

the highs and lows of 2010. the high of beating big 10 minnesota to the low of losing to a team that hadnt had football for 21 years. this loss could rank up there with the loss the jacks had with wisc-lacrosse

I felt like USD got worse throughout the year. Watching UND, SDSU, and NDSU today - I think all of those teams would have blown USD out today. Coaching, intensity, execution - all lacking for USD right now.

It would be a stretch to make that comparison, but this season has been an up and down year.

Without doubt it's time for Ed to go. This game seals the deal. I will NOT accept losing to a first-year program at all. Especially a team that got blown out by North Dakota.
I don't care if they are you, or if the schedule got to them or what, but the inconsistencies of the last year have just mounted with this loss.
Ed was hyping Wilhelm all throughout the fall camp. He said how great he was going to be and everything, so he should be able to lead the Coyotes to a win against a first-year program.
Right now, it's time for Ed to take the blame and ride off into the sunset and head back to D-II. This is Division I football, plain and simple. I don't think Ed is ready for it.
Sorry if I seem pretty emotional right now, but this is like losing to the Buffalo Bills right now for me.

greetings from the Texas coast. Looks like rain on Saturday. Hope your team feels like it's not an important game. Here's my prediction...if y'all have a running qb, y'all win...a pocket guy, we win well, your offensive coordinator is worse than ours! SD runs it down our throat all game...and they pass? with a wicked cross wind? dude was throwing ducks.. ...and didnt try to scramble much...quite confusing why y'all passed that much.... we only had 3 good drives..1 to start the game, 2 to end it. not much of a crowd..maybe 10k...first cold front of the season for us, kept alot of people home (and on the deer lease)..kinda nasty by se tex standards

It's already Wednesday and no talk about the game? What's the thoughts on this game and I don't want to hear people say they have thrown in the towel! I think we should have a good shot at this one. Is it ok to now say that the Yotes have thrown in the towell? Either way does it really matter, the team is in trouble either way.

USD should have never been in position to allow the game to be close at the end. When it was USD was getting into territory where the odds almost always play against USD. My gosh USD takes the lead (and did it by really not having much imagination, morelike power football that happened to work out) and lets Lamar go right down the field and take the lead against without blinking. Then on the last drive USD self destructs like usual. Even against a program as overmatched as Lamar (at least they should be) USD still cannot find the goods to win a game down the stretch.
The loss may be a blessing in disguise because a win would have had alot of people thinking that USD played a good game down in Beaumont. The loss removed the possiblity of a mask being placed on this game. I said a couple of weeks ago or so that the season was irrelevant to me after the loss to S. Utah. What gives me a sense of condolence is that by USD finishing poorly has brought alot more people on my side of the fence. If USD would have finished better is would have masked the fact that USD when the season was still in the balance failed in most situations and for sure most big moments. In USD's biggest game of the season in S. Utah they probably had their worst and most uninspired game of the year. That was supposed to act as the game to allow the Yotes to come back home with a shot to win at least a share of the Great West Title. It sure didn't seem like the players or coaches really took that fact to heart. It would have given the Cal Poly game an entirely different look and feel to it.
