It does not appear to be an injury, nothing has been said one way or another but more than one backup is now in the game for USD. Very interesting. Is kind of a downer watching UND play Montana and SDSU play NDSU on TV and now only being able to listen on the radio to the USD game. I know how you feel. Last night I watched USD vs. Nebraska on ESPN3 while listening to the Jackrabbits on the radio.

pretty ho-hum first half - I imagine Ed will come out and run the ball even more than normal in the 2nd half - sounds like USD is controlling the game between the tackles.

UND's defense looked very good today against Montana - was impressed. They do not have a QB that can throw (since their starter tore his ACL a few games back) If they had a QB today they would have had a realistic chance.
SDSU's QB handed the Bison the game - wow - 4 INTs with two pick returned for td's. NDSU looked more physical for the most part. Tough, physical game.

Blount returns the kick to the 40 yard line. Lamar is electing to take the wind in the 4th quarter.

NDSU now ahead 24-14 just into the 4th quarter. Odds are that the marker is going back to it's rightfull place. actually its been in its rightful(one L) place the last three years and will return next year , where it belongs. ;D

Lamar crumbles on a busted play and has to punt. It's partially blocked and USD starts at the Lamar 31

I supposed this can be the game thread as well. The Yotes are expected to win this game but Lamar did beat SE Louisiana on the road which is something USD was not quite able to do. Granted SE Louisiana has seemed to regress since than but Lamar can keep this one close if they have a smart game plan. This is a game where I do think USD needs to run the ball to take advantage of what will likely be an undersized Lamar front 7. The more this game takes on a normal non sophisticated nature the more USD should win. On the other hand if Lamar comes out and tries to spread out the USD defense they just might have enough speed to be able to do some things. If this thing comes down to a game of adjustments I think Lamar might be able to outscheme the Yotes moreso than to out talent them. Kickoff at 6PM Central. Under 2 hours to go. After the Minnesota game SDSU fans wanted to compare the two common opponents SDSU has with USD. Both of those games are coming in the next two weeks, counting today. NDSU leads 14-7 at half, so USD wins part one of the comparison. looks like sdsu wins a couple parts of the comparison. usd lost to ndsu by 22, sdsu only lost by 7. usd lost to uni by 7 , sdsu lost to uni by 10. however since sdsu was on the road, that should give them the part of the comparison you were talking about above. sounds dumb, doesnt it coyotefan?

USD goes backwards on the series and punts into the endzone. Lamar starts 1st and 10.
