When I see how well INDIANA ST is doing this year compared to USD it makes it even harder to take. They were extremely bad last year. They have been pulling out all the stops this year - trick plays etc. whatever it takes to get wins and to give their team a shot. ISU trick play - Hidden ball trick on kick return

I think the USD season can be summed up by the 4th quarter run that Ruiz from YSU had against us on Saturday. The play started out looking good for the Yotes. They had him bottled up at the line of scrimmage and it looked that is all he was going to get. However, USD failed to finish the play and bring him to the ground and he and the other YSU players kept pushing and the USD player we just trying to hold on for dear life and before you know it, YSU has a 27 yard gain which included 5 yards in which he was running backwards. USD defenders looked lost and confused as to why they could not stop him. That is how I feel about the USD season. I was hopeful and optimistic going into the season and after the first few games, we looked like we knew what we were doing out there. However, as the season as progressed, other teams just seem to find a way to play harder, play smarter, and just do things better. With 3 games left, I am baffled by this USD team. What was once optimism is not bewilderment and disappointment as USD continually finds ways to let other teams beat them. I know the MVFC is the toughest FCS conference in the country. I know that USD plays one of the toughest schedules in the FCS. However, why do I feel that USD is not getting better as the year goes on? Why do the Yotes continue to make the same mistakes game in and game out? I know what it is like to be a frustrated fan. (I am a Vikings fan. Enough said.) I just feel like the team needs some energy and some spark otherwise, USD will continually to be drug 27 yards down field and be powerless to stop it.
