Surrendered a large halftime lead. Down 2 with 22 seconds left, on the road, and they win by 4. Clutch. Great job Lady Yotes!

It certainly wasn't the best played game by the ladies. There were many wide open layups and bunnies that were left on the floor. Shooting 33% from the field and 64% from the line won't win all the time but they stuck together and made winning plays when they mattered most. Good win and now get ready for UNI.

Nice win ladies! Raeshel has really stepped up her game about 6 notches. I think this is going to be an exciting season for this group.

Great win ladies! I listened to the game on the radio today and man was it exciting! It sure sounded like the ladies played with A TON of poise. As was stated earlier, the free throw shooting was not good and we got in to some foul trouble as well, but they really hung in there and battled. I think Coach Williams' "Camp Defense" has really made an impact this season and this team has embraced a new identity of a being a defensively minded team that can just flip a switch and lock teams down. The radio broadcast by John Thayer was fantastic today as well. He really does a nice job. Shaping up to be a great season for the Lady Yotes!

I'm most impressed with the fact that the Yotes found a way to win even though they struggled mightily shooting the ball. Off nights are going to happen but if you can still figure out a way to win, that is what make you a good basketball team.

Heard a little "sports update" on ESPN 99.1 in Sioux Falls today. Lots of "oh the Jacks tried their best and played good but couldn't quite beat 'Dunk City'" and "oh by the way the USD men got lucky and barely snuck by Bakersfield," and "Yay the SDSU women dominated UNLV" and then NO MENTION of the USD women beating Marquette. C'mon, man.

I went to the biased leader......I mean argus leader to read some articles on the USD games and there were about 15 videos and articles on DUNK CITY and how tough and close the game was but only one article on the USD men and women and it was combined into one article. The argus is garbage I cant even deal with it anymore. Keloland is not far behind. for example USD volleyball was doing really well this year but there was rarely articles about their matches. But numerous times there were articles about SDSU (Who didnt win a match all season in the conference) getting swept by teams. As of late I have made it my mission to put as much negative publicity out there about both the argus leader and keloland because of their extremely biased reporting.

I've been watching KSFY over Kelo for that exact reason.

Losing by 16, at home essentially, to any team in the Atlantic Sun isn't worth writing home about, but many in the local media are just pandering (case and point, SDSU's volleyball team getting any coverage this year).
Beating a Big East team on an off night shows just how tough these girls are this year. I wonder what seed we are gonna draw in the NCAA Tourney this year!

I wouldn't put much stock in the "bias" category relating to the SDSU game in the Pentagon. It was a game played IN SIOUX FALLS. Of course they are going to cover it closely. Both of USD's games were on the road and not at places where it is economical to send out reporters with the team. Now, if they completely drop the ball and fail to give comparable coverage to USD when it plays UNLV, then I will eat crow and totally back down, but until then I would NEVER make the argument about unequal media coverage when there is a game being played against a recognized mid-major team IN SIOUX FALLS - especially when the USD games were on the road. That is a bad argument that a person will never win.

It doesn't take a reporter going to a game to report on a score.

Not here to be an Argus defender but Cousin Eddie is right on this. No staff member at the game usually means SID summaries. The SDSU/UNLV game had no different story style or locatio in my edition of the Argus today than the Yotes games. What did upset me more about the Argus is they had no one at the Wayne State game (as far as I can tell) and my edition on Thanksgiving day didn't even have a mention of it.
