I have hard time believing NIU will offer a kid this late in the game. They should pretty much have their scholarships full at this point.

I kind of agree on the comments made about kids and verball commits. But I would say it seems to go both ways. Mike Golic was on talking about how programs do the same thing, pulling offers when a other kids come in or they have guys leave the program from other positions. Bobby Petrino from Louisville just was barred from a former commits HS for pulling an offer a day before NLI day. (Apparently thats frowned upon) lol

Anyone know the status of these recruits. Antonio Jones-Davis Samy JeanClaude Howard Houston Eric Saintil Thx. Saintil is in, he was just late. No word of Houston. Jones-Davis visited N. Illinois this weekend. No word on JeanClaude. I was incorrect about Jone-Davis. He is supposed to be visiting Northern Illinois today. Really odd on the other guys. There are tweets out there saying that Jean-Claude also signed with USD on the 4th, but nothing official to show for it. That would mean that both he and Jones-Davis signed papers, but have not landed anywhere officially.

Getting all three of these guys would really be huge (at least on paper). We really need more DL help. Houston would seem to be the gap filler we need at the nose, Jean-Claude would be the DE we need for depth and Jones-Davis appears to be the type of athlete that teams kill for at the DB position.

I wonder if they've been in contact if it was retweeted today. I wouldn't think so otherwise.

My thoughts exactly Yotes. We will see... I think Cuz hit the nail on the head above as to how valuable these last two guys in Houston and Jean-Claude would be.

Houston tweeted that he picked up an offer from Texas Southern. Clearly he's still holding out for a better offer. In all seriousness, I know Texas Southern is in the SWAC, but can't remember if that is an FBS or FCS football league and don't have time to check. Anyone know off-hand?

I checked and Texas Southern is FCS and ranked behind Coyotes with a 5-6 record. Obviously their schedule wasn't as tough as the Yotes!

The SWAC is FCS, but that conference (at least in football and basketball) is definitely the weakest in all of D1 on an annual basis.
