To keep alive hope for a top 3 seed in the conference race the Coyotes need a win. A win would almost if not totally guarantee a top 5 seed in the conference tourney. IUPUI handled the Coyotes easily the first time around. The Coyotes had scissor hands according to coach Smith. Look for the Coyotes to avenge the earlier loss with a 72-63 win.
tip is at 2PM Saturday.

Coach Smith said that at one point in the game in Indianapolis the Coyotes had made 5 shots from the field and had 3 balls bounce over or off the backboard. That was quite a ways into the game. The Yotes will definately not forget what happened last time around. Smith just announced that Eric Robertson is not playing due to being sick.
I am gonna predict a hot day shooting from three.

15-6 Coyotes with 15:59 to go in the half. So far the Yotes have hit 3 treys and the Jags 2. IUPUI has a couple of airballs as well. Maybe they will be the team today that can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

So far IUPUI has not brought the same defense to this game that they had in Indy. They are leaving the Yotes wide open today.

13:34 to go now it's 17-14 Coyotes. Eeewie Pooey is also hot from the field so far as well. Gotta tighten up the defense. At this rate it's gonna take a hundred points to win the game. I think the pace will start to slow.

8-13 shooting for IUPUI so far. 21-19 Yotes.

7:36 to go and it's 30-25 Coyotes. This is already 60% of the total points the Yotes scored for the whole game in Indy. I thought this might be more of a defensive struggle today but both teams are scoring efficiently.

34-27 Yotes with 4:54 to go in the half. This is definately not the same type of game that was played in Indiana. It's like these are two different teams today.

38-33 Yotes and they will have the ball after an offensive foul on the Jaguars. The Jags keep hitting their outside shots today and they are not a good shooting team. They are more known for their defense which was not packed in their suitcase.

40-37 Coyotes at half. It looked like at the end of the half that the Coyotes were going to push their lead as they were up 7 with the ball but IUPUI scored the last 4 of the half. The Jags shot 65% from the field in the half including 62% from three. The Coyotes shot 48% in the half. It's amazing that the Coyotes are in the lead. IUPUI has 13-11 edge in rebounds. The turnovers are hurting IUPUI a bit. The Jags won't continue their torrid pace shooting as they are making alot of long jumpers for that percentage. The defense does need to tightened up quite a bit.

15:26 to go and it's 48-45 Coyotes. Everytime the Coyotes seem like they should extend the lead IUPUI keeps making a shot.

56-48 Coyotes after back to back threes by Tyler Larson. He is starting to feel it.

The Coyotes had a wierd thing happen. Norris was fouled and scored a basket. It was an intentional foul called on the play. USD got to shoot 2 additional free throws after the bucket and now they get the ball as well. Now Norris hits a three and it's a 7 point possession. 63-53 Coyotes. What a strange series of events.

7:26 to go and it's 68-58 Yotes. I am not quite sure on that last play why the Yotes were given two free throws instead of 1. Did the officials interpret the rule correctly. I would have thought it would have been just one free throw and the ball or 3 additional free throws and the ball. That is one to check the rule book on.
