Ditto what sdyotefan stated. I'm out in the "flocked trees" (Black Hills) now but come this fall I'll be in the Dome watching some of these recruits playing. Can't wait ......

Just came across a tweet saying Jake Richardson was going with "South Dakota" but it doesn't say USD or SDSU. I hope this combined with the red paws emoji to Kramer means USD... I think "South Dakota" points to USD. You don't say you're going with Iowa if you are playing in Ames. It is hard to explain. You have to see the tweet exchange to understand what I meant. It was a High School's twitter account that was followed up with a response from somebody else saying "Touchdown Jacks!" Regardless, it went the right way.

To me, this is further evidence that we need a Rapid City or Black Hills chapter of the Howling Pack. To my knowledge, RC is a USD town, isn't it? At least in relation to SDSU? I think you and sdyotefan should get something started

I think cowboys and motorcycles predominate out here, with a nod to skiers (great snow this year at Terry). Right now the cowboys are a leg up what with the Stock Show going on.
Anyway, yes, maybe something should get started. What would really be nice is to organize some group effort to go see a game or two. Not sure it would happen for football since everyone might have their own itinerary. For basketball, however, things might be different. It would be nice to see the new arena.
I notice the Alumni Association has a mixer scheduled for Murphy's Pub & Grill this Saturday from 5-6:30 PM. Is that an opportunity to discuss this? I'll let others - if they are out there - chime in....
Thanks again cuz for all the information posted on recruiting. It's been entertaining.

Agreed YF. I tell Cuz all the time I feel like we should pay him some kind of fee for all of his services. Guy is a wizard. It is a far far cry from the "old days" on the fan board without him. Drastically improved.

I know we have a few folks out there already who were working on starting up a chapter and had already had a few activities and informal gatherings. Call or e-mail Dave Williams in the athletic department and see who they have out there so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
