We are rolling with Saeger at QB correct? Count me among those as "nervous" about the upcoming season. I think defensively we will be better mostly because its hard to be much worse defensively, Yotes were last in total defense by a mile last year. Offensively, I think QB and O line play will define the season. QB has been the big question mark in the Glenn Era, and so far has been part of the reason for the offensive struggles. On the O-line, the yotes have to replace 2 of their best lineman and have very little depth, so staying healthy this season would be huge. I think the over under for wins has to be set at about 3.5.

All signs point to Saegar at QB. Just keep him and the OL healthy and I think we'll be fine. The biggest one is Sam MacLeran at the C spot. He went down early last year and we were pretty well stuck. The guys we tried there did a fine job, but MacLeran had all the reps with the starting O. That spot needs to remain consistent. He makes all the calls and reads at the line of scrimmage. A change there brings the whole line down.

I don't believe that the Yotes have had a truly good quarterback since Noah Shepard. I don't imagine anyone on the current roster is going to change that anytime soon.

No reason he shouldn't get a shot to compete for it, but I don't think he'd beat out Saegar. Saegar will be the guy come week 1.

I realize this is beating a dead horse, but upon further review, the fighting Pelini's have also picked up transfers LeRoy Alexander (SS) from Nebraska and Jalyn Powell (FS) from Michigan State. LeRoy is a notorious steroid user, but is a very good player. Between the DL and S positions, the YSU defense should be pretty stout. From one article I read, it doesn't appear that Powell is expected to start, however. We will see.

Do we do predictions here? i'd be curious what you guys thought about 2015. Turnaround? Or more of the same?
My glass is half empty at this point.
2-9
I'd gladly be wrong about that.

I'm putting my money on 4-7 with a 2-6 conference record, but would like to go all out on the kool-aid and say 6-5.

I heard a rumor that we tried to schedule Cal, but they wanted a "reall challenge". SMH. We'd beat them by 3 touchdowns.
