Mick's off to a good start, I think he hit a couple of the key areas for the Yotes this year, OL and WR. I also agree that the Coyotes have good numbers at each position, if we can get a couple, may I beg 4-5, of these guys to advance to the next level of performance, we might be starting something special.
Like Coach says, "hope springs eternal this time of year"

Every writeup of Mick's has been pretty good so far. One common theme - injuries. Why is this team injured so much? Is it because players are being thrown in while they are young and they just aren't ready for the physical pounding of D1 football? Is it a strength & conditioning issue? Are they babied in practice? Seriously would like to know.

Seriously would like to know. Hard to say as I'm not around the team or the facilities much, but I have to think it's falls somewhere between strength and conditioning and the training room. We are doing something wrong in one or both of those areas otherwise we wouldn't be injury plagued by week 1 every year. Other teams in the conference aren't consistently worried about depth due to injuries before the season has even started. More emphasis needs to be put on preparation and recovery.

Mick and Jeremy both reporting that Kray Krolilowski has transferred to USF. He played as a true freshmen last year and from Winner SD. I am to the point that it doesn't matter how good they recruit because players leave or get hurt at unacceptable levels. Look at the the recruit classes the last 4 years. The amount of attrition is horrible.

This move makes no sense to me. He would have been in heavy rotation and will only be a sophomore. Has anyone heard of the reason why? Good luck to him at USF.

Just because he played last year doesnt mean he is good. I honestly do not know one way or the other if he is. Maybe he is. But if he transfered to USF instead of attempting to go to another FCS school with how young he is makes me question what we are really losing.

I can agree with where you are coming from, but DL is probably our weakest positional group. It is also one of the most important. If you can't stop the run in the MVFC you are cooked. It would have been nice to have him for depth whether he would start or not. Especially with all the injuries we seem to be enduring the last few seasons.

I want everybody to know that I haven't seen him play so I don't know if he is good or not but I think there are a lot of factors that might have factored into his decision. Kaytlin Severyn would have probably played some PF for the women's basketball team this year with Clarin graduating and Stevens transferring to San Diego but instead of using her scholarship and playing at SDSU, she is going to school at USD. I don't know if she will walk on their team or not. I think it is because she has a close friend down there that she chose to get closer to. Some athletes like being a "big fish in a little pond". You can look at the Schillings that went to school at Augie. They both had DI scholarship offers but they decided to go to Augie instead. I don't know for sure if that was the reason they went there or not. It could be that, maybe Augie had a better program in whatever they decided to major in or it might have been something else. It's not too far fetched to think that USF could win a National Championship while he is there. Some people value that more than the other stuff. I guess to me it doesn't really matter one way or the other. This type of thing seems to happen more now that our schools are DI than it did in the past. I don't really like it but I guess I just have to accept it and move on.
