I've enjoyed last weekends win as much as anyone but it's time to put it behind us and mentally get ready for Missouri State. We aren't good enough to take anyone for granted but we are good enough to beat anyone. If the takeaway from the NDSU win is confidence and determination to play hard for 60 minutes, then we will be ok. If not, if we think that win made us an elite team, Mo. State will kick our ass. I was in Springfield last year and it happened. I think our guys have found their identity, and if so, we will be ok. My preference is no more chrome helmets or fancy uniforms. Old school vermillion and white, with a "lunch bucket" mentality. The last team to win in Fargo won out in the league in a year when they were picked 6th. Sound familiar? Let's get a good, solid win Saturday. One game at a time. As much as I like those chrome helmets, they have been an absolute curse. I totally agree. I know that Joe reached out to a few close friends that raised the money to buy those uniforms in an attempt to create enthusiasm for the players and fans and quite simply it didn't work. What's inside is what matters and what counts. I would be just fine if we put them away for awhile...maybe a long while.

Disagree about them being a curse. Up until last week it didn't matter what the uniforms were we couldn't win a conference game. I do believe they should used sparingly however. Once, maybe twice a year.

Once, maybe twice a year. I am with you. Pick a weekend, not D-Days or the Hall of Fame game (I think our traditional uni's should be worn on those days) and bring them out for that game and thats it. If we start winning with them that may be a different story. But for now, alternate uni's should be earned. I agree that they are not a curse....you make your own luck. Distraction, maybe....but not a curse. BTW...the all whites with striped pants looked pretty sharp last weekend! Lets get a W, regardless of uniform this week. Go Yotes!

Have they announced who it will be starting at RB for Bouma? Will it be Fredericks or Gunn?

For my two cents (and I know I'll be in the minority) I'd like to see a different uniform every week. Take a look at USF for instance, they seem to have a different helmet/jersey combo every game and I think it adds a layer of excitement. Now having said that... I wouldn't want an additional dime put towards new uniforms until the Dome is renovated and the coaches are paid.

Fredrick is listed as #1 on the depth chart , but am guessing both he and Gunn will get a fair amount of carries. Don't know Kilgore's health status, but if healthy he may also be in the mix. Might also see a few carries for Potter from the FB position.

Joe mentioned Vigneri (sp?) during the coach's show as an option, but I don't recall Kilgore being mentioned.

I envision Fredericks starting, but Gunn getting 10-15 carries as well and replacing Bouma with RBs by committee. I don't really see Vignieri as a viable option compared to the 2 Frosh RBs, but I also heard Coach Glenn mention him on the coaches show. Potter could see a few touches as well, but hopefully we won't need to throw too many curveballs at one of the worst defenses statistically in the FCS. Saeger played a big role in the run game last week, but it would be nice to keep him in a bubble on Saturday so he's fresh for UNI, but bottom line, we need to be 1-0 this week first.

It's gameday and I'm on my way to the tailgate. If the Yotes can't win this one I think my head will explode. I'm picking USD 31-10 in this one.

Yoteforever what is your score prediction for the game today. After last week you can't stop making your picks.

Wow what a week! Been flying high waiting for this one. I hear there is still quite a 'mushroom cloud' hanging over Fargone but it is starting to drift southeast towards Cedar Falls or Cedar Rapids or whatever. You know where Northern Iowa Community College is.
I see The Yotes taking down Missouri State College about 38 to 13 or so. Might take the boys a little while to get going but the outcome is settled by early Q3. Our Freshman RB's look good doing it too.
There is also a little extra saved up for PantherWorld.
Go Coyotes!

There are unconfirmed reports that there was a pre game explosion and a mushroom cloud has developed over the Dakotadome. Apparently with how un-great the Missouri State defense is just the sight of the Red Nuclear Offense warning up on the field the Bears defense already had a meltdown. The fallout and radiation poisoning will be well under way by the time the game kicks off. The fans will need to make sure they wear their protective gear for this one. This Mushroom cloud can be seen for 200 miles in each direction and one over zealous fan thinks he can see this cloud from Arizona. I don't know about that but we will give this fan the benefit of the doubt.
