best case scenario for us. Great coach. He can hopefully bring some of his recruits that already were going to play in the Valley with him. A couple current coaches I would like to see stay would be Petrino and Harvey. If Wes stayed but under a different position than the OC that would be fine too.

Interesting times for the current staff at USD. Hopefully things work out great for all of them, especially those that bleed Coyote Red.

Hallelujah! I was getting very concerned here. A can't miss hire that puts us in a very good position to continue trending upwards in the MVFC.

Those are the 2 that I would think have the least chance to stay. IMO Coach Williams and Middleton are the most important to keeping recruiting continuity. It also helps to have a few minority coaches on the staff when we are trying to get minority student-athletes to come to Vermillion. I also think Wesley could have a chance to stay on as a position coach to help in the transition between staffs, I'm not sure if he would be interested in that though.

The next big question to be answered is who will be on Bob's staff. Will he bring most of his staff from WIU with him or look outside of his circle for an OC or DC? I know that much of his staff is from the region originally so it wouldn't shock me if quite a few of his assistants come with him if not offered a promotion from WIU. It will be interesting to see what the U will provide as far as $ for an assistant pool. I'm sure Coach Neilson covered this in the negotiation process and I would think that there would need to be a major improvement in that regard for him to have accepted the job,

Will the presser be carried live on the radio? Maybe KVTK or KWSN picking it up, or do you think they will save that coverage until the local afternoon show and not preempt Jim Rome?
