How Alex accepted the giant task of switching to the OL, managed to do a fantastic job starting at left tackle on Saturday, and learned all of this since Spring ball is nothing short of incredible. By random chance I happened to meet Alex and his parents over spring break, and when talking about playing he only brought up TE and special teams (and didn't look anything like an offensive lineman). Less than 6 months later he is looking more than capable at a position he had never played before. That's a team player hungry to find any way onto the field. Love having kids like that in the program. |

Love having kids like that in the program. I think it's a perfect example of how multitasking in sports makes an athlete better at everything. As the article pointed out, his footwork from time spent on the hardwood is paying major dividends on the gridiron. I know back in the day Tom Osbourne used to scour the high school gyms in Nebraska during hoops season looking for tall, athletic players with good footwork who they could bulk up with their strength and nutrition program and turn into powerhouse offensive linemen. Alex most likely would have been Coach Osbourne's ideal candidate. |

WE will never win a poll like this given the sheer number of fans for each team. I do like how they added the question if you attended the university you voted for. I would think there is a much higher correlation for USD fans. |
