Interesting his other offer is from Buffalo. Not sure if it was posted on the boards or not but former Football Operations Manager, Luke Groth, recently took a position at Buffalo. I wonder if we'll see them offering more guys out in our neck of the woods in the near future.Wouldn't count on it but you never know. Head Coach at Buffalo Lance Leipold (sp?) has connections to the midwest from his time at UNO and UW-Whitewater. I wouldn't think the Midwest would be a high priority for them though as they are located in a pretty good football region (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, NY)

I would assume he worked with Buffalo's coach?

Luke is the ops guy, so it's highly unlikely he's aware of the specifics of most kids. Luke runs the business side of the football program. He's a class act and in my opinion would not undermine USD in any capacity.

I certainly didn't intend to make it appear as though any type of malevolent activity was potentially possible or anything

Just want people that don't know Luke to know he's a top drawer young man

I am certain he wouldn't do anything to hurt the program, but I wouldn't blame him a bit for keeping tabs on kids that were on USD's radar. And as far as the Ops guy not knowing much about the reecruits, we can put that to bed right now. I don't know about the new guy, but Luke was heavily involved in the recruiting process.

"you have to start somewhere" Not sure how to take that. Also, 340 is too heavy for a HS junior. He's plenty powerful, but looking at his film, it's pretty clear he needs to be playing at about 290-300 his senior year.
