Jeez, do these guys ever rest? College football recruiting is a year round business now. The earlier you get on a recruit and develop those relstionships, the better your chances of getting him. Love how aggressive this coaching staff is. |

Recruiting has been a year round activity for several years now. Don't know about much before the Meierkort era, but I know both he and Joe's staffs heavily recruited HS juniors. Twitter has become much more widely used as a recruiting tool in the past couple years. This staff does a much better job publicizing their recruiting efforts on social media. That's why it appears we have made these great strides in recruiting, IMO.

Crazy how early teams start the recruiting process...I know of a 2020 with multiple offers.
If a kid doesn't have an offer by the start of his senior year might have to drop down a level or might not happen... Either way players have to be part of the process early because recruiting has started...
FBS - Frosh/Soph/Juniors; plus a few Senior offers mostly line
FCS- Juniors/Seniors
D2,NAIA,JUCO- Seniors and post signing day

Interesting his other offer is from Buffalo. Not sure if it was posted on the boards or not but former Football Operations Manager, Luke Groth, recently took a position at Buffalo. I wonder if we'll see them offering more guys out in our neck of the woods in the near future.
