Come on guys... I understand what you're saying, and actually agree, but it's still fun to see the Yotes getting some national respect and recognition.

polls, articles or whatever can be used as an us against the world mentality. If one feels slighted then more power to the team for having a chip on their shoulder. for the jacks having the proverbial hand pat against their backs hasn't been helping their over rated teams lately.

Yeah - I think many folks on the board are confusing being a fan with being a player. Players/coaches need to take it one game at a time (and all the other cliché's). Fans don't. In fact, in FCS, since there is a 24 team playoff, a poll is a pretty good indicator of where the team stands in relation to get invited to the playoff. WHICH IS OK FOR A FAN TO THINK ABOUT. Being a fan can be fun - it's OK. |

I also know that there are multiple great teams in the MVFC every year. I am a 100% realist and call it like I see it. I think the Yotes have the talent to beat anyone in the country. Whether they will or not will be a fun scenario to watch. |

I haven't heard from Yotes lately but when we met at the game at Western, forgot to establish that friendly bet. You were at 5-3, correct? I'll take the over. Think wearing a sandwich board for an hour, anytime within a 3 hour window of game time, composed by the winner, within good taste, seems like a fair wager?

5 games, 5 wins. We've already matched our previous best win total against D1 opponents in a season, and we aren't even halfway through the schedule. A win against Indiana State clinches our first winning season against D1 competition and matches our best MVFC win total.
We should now be favored to win every game remaining on our schedule, with the likely exception of NDSU. Playoffs are a given, we are playing for seeding and the MVFC title now. That game in Fargo will likely determine the conference champ.

The Coyotes are going to beat Indiana State barring something very unusual next week. Simmons could start and the game would still probably be a comfortable win. NDSU just beat them down and having to face the Bison then having to travel to Vermillion will be a very difficult task for them. Stranger things have happened but not many stranger things.
Assuming the 6th win next week the Coyotes will go to Illinois State to try to clinch a playoff spot. That game is suddenly looking winnable considering they just got hammered at N Arizona. Western won comfortably out there. With Illinois State losing out there and having Western win at UNI those developments make the Coyotes look very good right now.
Now the Coyotes own tie breakers over 2 very good teams in YSU and WIU when it comes to the playoffs. Another thing as well, by not playing Missouri State the SOS will be better because of it too.
