I don't think any of you Yote fans realize how terrible UND was playing til the 4th quarter of our game against you. We played 0 good quarters against Stony Brook or BGSU to start last season. We were a mess. Also I always laugh when you guys say we were gifted the game. We made the plays. We weren't handed a damn thing. Fair point. All a matter of perspective I suppose. I think this game could be a wire to wire great game for the record. Huge implications for both teams. How's the injury situation for the Yotes?

How many bad quarters can you play in a row before that's just how it is? You guys turned it around and had a pretty good season but don't think you were just in a funk and all of the sudden made USD throw you two pick sixes. Came down to streveler making a few bad decisions in the fourth quarter. Answer, yes it was gifted.

To have an informed opinion. I was just going off what you said in your previous post about not playing a good quarter in two games. I wouldn't expect you to watch any other coyote games. My opinion on last year is based on what I saw happen against UND.

Fair point. All a matter of perspective I suppose. I think this game could be a wire to wire great game for the record. Huge implications for both teams. How's the injury situation for the Yotes? Senior captain WR was out last week, but sounded precautionary. Starting senior DT yet to play this year with a groin pull. Grad transfer LB from Minny carted off after dirty play on opening kickoff against BG and looked like a bad knee injury. Otherwise a few preseason injuries out for year.

It's quite the coincidence that UND's fortunes turned around last season once they were gifted pick sixes and then began Big Sky play. Even greater coincidence that their season abruptly ended once conference play ended.
Constantly being at the bottom of the MVFC and going toe-to-toe with that conference's best has not exactly convinced me that the Big Sky is a great conference. We would have coasted to playoff appearances there the past two years. Even at our worst in 2014 when we went 0-8 in MVFC play with an average loss of 21 points, we still beat a 5-3 Big Sky team and lost by a TD to a 6-2 squad on the road. Just look at how the conference performs in the playoffs. EWU is the only team that ever looks like it might make some noise, everyone else gets outright embarrassed.
So yeah, I'm not buying anything the Big Sky is selling. UND sweeping their conference slate last year has only reinforced that stance.

My opinion on last year is based on what I saw happen against UND. I always try and watch a game or two of our opponents to get familiar with what we're up against. I don't like when people talk out there ass so I try and avoid doing it myself. If you don't trust what I saw in our games last year you should watch them and form your own opinion.

UND is a good team but there are 7 teams in the MVFC that are better, as good or almost as good as UND. The Coyotes are used to playing the teams that are the caliber of the Hawks. The Coyotes put up some pretty impressive numbers against those teams on offense until they let their own air out of the tires. If the Coyotes can play more consistent on offense I think they can put up 30+ on UND's defense in Vermillion. I think what the most under rated part of this whole equation is the rise on the defensive end for the Yotes. Home field usually helps the home defense the most of all units.

Lol go home if you don't want to hear coyote fans talk about a coyote game from coyote fans perspective. Can't get all offended when somebody disagrees with you on a rival board.

I got roped into going to one of those concerts but I admittedly hate country music so what is one to do. This is a very legit reason why a few fans probably won't go that would have come otherwise. I have no idea why this state is so gung ho about country music and so behind the times by about 20 years. This would have been cool in the early 90's more so then current times but Brooks is a legend and many non country fans will probably go including a few Coyote fans but I can guarantee that their will be about 10 times more Jacks fans at these shows. I will like a few songs but I will be puking next to my chair most of the time. HA-Ha-Ha Yeah, I'm not into country music either. Now if it was Chris Gaines it would be a different story. SD is 20 years behind in pretty much everything. Usually gets worse the farther north you go. I'm thinking we invite Garth to the game! SDSU fans welcome! I don't think we're hiding anything anymore. The MEN just have to go out an win the games!

I went to Grand Forks last year and had a blast. All the UND fans I met were great. Longest drive home ever though. I'll be surprised if we lose. We absolutely dominated the game last year, then gifted OT and had nothing left in the tank. My favorite part of our BG win was that we put together clock eating drives in the 4th, rather than coming to a halt and mustering only 3-and-outs. That was our achilles last year. We should get out to a lead early, and if we truly have learned how to stay on the gas, then UND can't win. Streveler is much better picking his passes now. UND isn't getting half their points off his bad decisions like they did in regulation last year. It will be interesting to see how teams handle him now that they've played this offense before. ...be careful of giving the opposition bulletin board material please. I respect UND and they're a legit 10 ranked team. I'm sure our players do as well and we are ranked way lower for a reason.
