There are various radio shows that interview coaches each week. Here is what I would like an announcer to ask Stig:
Q. Coach - did you guys practice the laying down with cramps, and is that the type of thing the trainers have to practice too? A. (presumably) Well, shucks. Of course those boys were out there working hard, and there was no gosh darn ill-intent. We are just too nice to do something sneaky like that. Q. So does that mean your trainers are so bad that by the 11th game of the season they haven't figured out the basic nutrition for players that even the 9B teams figured out for the dome last week? A. (presumably) Golly gee. Our trainers are the best around. Q. But aren't cramps preventable? A. (presumably) Shucks, many times they are. But our culture has shifted recently where I talk like I'm a down-to-earth guy while my coordinators promote very, um, questionable culture. You try having these fans call for your head every time we lose to NDSU. You try recruiting kids to come to Brookings on purpose. AND HAVE YOU EVER TALKED TO THESE FANS? The one guy put his own name on the building and sits there watching my every move. Who the #$%@ does that? YOU WANT NICE & RESPECTFUL? GIVE ME A TIME MACHINE BACK TO DII, AND I WILL GIVE YOU NICE AND RESPECTFUL ALL DAY LONG. YOU CLOWNS COVERED 1 GAME A YEAR BACK THEN, NOW YOU ACT LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN BEHIND US THE WHOLE TIME? IT IS F'NING FAKE CRAMPS - WHO F'NING CARES!?!? WOULD YOU RATHER WE PLAYED STRAIGHT UP AND LOSS? I WILL ANSWER THAT FOR YOU - NOT ONE JACKS FAN WOULD WANT THAT SCENARIO. Q. Sorry, I meant to say 'The Jacks sure are awesome, would you agree coach?' A. (presumably) Golly gee, hold on a sec, Dana is calling me.

By the way, I see Goedert's catch was all over the ESPN channels. The slapping of the ball out of his hands by another chippy USD player was also shown on all those channels. It is the "USD way". Same old same old, nothing ever changes.

Someone posed the question earlier and just getting around to look it up - how long until SDSU made the playoffs and how long until they won. First 10 years for each school: First 10 years for SDSU in FB Total D1 wins = 43 0 BCS wins (first BCS win happened in yr 12 at KU) 3 playoff appearances 2 playoff wins (first in yr 9, second in yr 10) first playoff appearance in year 6 (loss to Montana on the road) first playoff win in year 9 against Eastern Illinois at home First 10 years for USD in FB (we are in our 10th year this season, so this is still TBD) Total D1 wins = 33 2 BCS wins (Minnesota in year 3, and Bowling Green in year 10) 1 playoff appearance in year 10 (outcome TBD) 0 playoff wins (outcome TBD) first playoff appearance in year 10 against Nicholls St first playoff win TBD SDSU, 6 playoff appearances in a row. Last time finished under .500 in league play was 2011. When was the last time USD finished over .500 in league play? Oh right, never.

Seemed quite ironic with the timing. SDSU gonna SDSU, nothing ever changes. From what I have read on other forums it seems that the consensus disagrees with you.

The fake cramping is a bush league strategy. Since you bring up Goedert, he is a very good player, but spends a lot of time showboating looking into the crowd waving his finger after a big play or putting his finger up to shoosh the crowd. UNI will come up with a strategy for him, my guess is it will look similar to what USD's #22 hit looked like against your lineman that got him ejected. Only harder and more violent.

I do think SDSU has a good team this year and very well may be facing NDSU in the finals. Congratulations, your most talented team in your history was one kicker better than USD this year.

Check out the game threads on other forums that followed the game. SDSU was getting mercilessly crucified for their cheap tactics. Everyone was calling them out. Phonies, just phonies. I can't believe they would even try to keep the schtick up. Just admit it was all planned, I'd respect you guys more if you were just honest. It's the smug arrogance we all know, won't allow you to admit you were wrong about something or that your football program would stoop to such dishonest tactics. Instead they do their best to flip it around and call USD classless. News flash Jack fans, no other fan base is trashing USD or calling us cheap, matter of fact, it's quite the opposite, they are calling out the Cramprabbits and your fan base. It appears the feeling is mutual throughout the conference, nobody likes you guys.

I try to be unbiased towards other fan bases, but sdsu is impossible. Pure trash.

Now I wonder when State comes down to Vermillion to play basketball if they will employ the same cramping "strategy" to alter momentum if things get too out of hand?
Not saying the students should do this but I wouldn't be surprised if a few boxes of Midol or similar got tossed out on the floor at the game.

Good thing I won't bring myself to post on that garbage pile they call a fan forum. I plan to watch the replay tonight to analyze this constant trash talking I've heard so much about.

When you do a rewatch, I planned on doing this too, I was going to write down the number of the player injured, the gametime, down distance & yardage gained on previous play, and down distance and yardage gained on upcoming play, then note if we had "tempo" going. I am going to bet you will find the vast majority of "injuries" happened after a decent yardage 2nd down play to big up a key 3rd and manageable.
You saw what happened when we got in NASCAR mode, quick TD's. Runs up the middle that netted 40 yards. Etc. They could not let us get in NASCAR mode and they knew it, so they employed dirty tactics to stop it from happening.

Does anyone from our board post over there? I would hope not. I wouldn't even read it. Why risk losing points on the IQ? What's absolutely hilarious is that the typical bunny person is just too stupid to even know that they're stupid and that you take pride in being dickheads. Does make sense though. Many who feel insignificant try and bolster themselves by being rude to others.

Here is my 2 cents and I'm moving on from the state game.
Coyotes could have easily won this game. Too many missed opportunities. Lost the turnover battle with 2 turnovers compared to their 1. The pic inside our own 20 was really bad. Can't get stopped at the 1 inch line. That was a huge play. In my biased opinion he scored, but terrible TV angles gave us no chance to have that play overturned. The holding penalty on Streveler's long run in the 4th was so undisciplined. If Jennings pulls under control and is able to just get in the way its a no call, but he flies past the LB and reaches out and grabs him. Easy call for the official to make and nullifies a huge play. Missed FG to tie the game....the list goes on and on
Defensively we were OK. Poor tackling in the secondary strikes again on the long TD to Weineke, other than that they really didn't have too many explosive plays. Goederts's 1 hander was insane, can't really defend that.
The cramping is what is it is. There is no way to get around it. Can;t prove it one way or the other. I personally didn't feel like it had that much significance in the outcome of the game. The targeting call was terrible. Unbelievable really. That type pf play happens on 95% of running plays and because the OL goes down they feel like they need to step in and prove something. Pretty ticky tack for the booth to buzz about that and now that player misses the 1st round of the playoffs.
Another game that we made too many little mistakes to win in the end.
Thankfully we get the chance to revive our season in the SE and make some noise in the playoffs. Can't wait.
Go Yotes!
