Yeah it isn't the end of the world, but the men's title shots take a hit. Good thing it's the tournament to decide who gets the CBI invite right! So as long as they get things clicking that should help.
Nice win for the women to bounce back on as well. Holy Yackley!

PS The reason I started this new thread is so we could actually talk about the game a little instead of Coyote Fan's status of Fandom.

I wasn't able to listen to the game so take my comments fwiw and weight my fandom the same. It appears from the box score that the rotation leaned towards a small lineup and we were once again disgusting from the three point line. This team has the talent but is young and inconsistent. Hopefully they can find the missing piece, regroup and make a run on the back half of the schedule. I don't want this year to be a lost season.

I agree with you Pierre Yote, and you are definitely a true Yote fan, no worries.
The good news is USD can still win the GWC tournament and that would give the Coyotes a CBI invite. I have seen crazier things? Do the Yotes have a shot at the tourny?

Last thread was deleted by request of USDlaw and Charlie so we can get back to the real topic, basketball.
You know, USD could pull off a Syracuse and nail a bunch of big three's and win the GWC tournament lol.
It will be interesting to see what the team does against Utah Valley. Last year USD went into UVU and took their only loss of the conference season there.

If a thread is deleted do I still get credit for my posts in that thread so I can up my post count?
Hey, you gotta laugh about something around here.
I think USD has the talent to put a run together and win the conference tourney. Question is, can they put it together? If they keep firing up them threes the law of averages will eventually take over and those will start going in at a dramatic rate. Happens in baseball all the time, slumping hitter is always getting the game winning hit off the Cubs in the late innings. I've come to accept it as destiny.

Now that is a good post. I've been trying to figure out how many posts I have to make to be a Senior Member like you Yote 53.
I think the men have the talent to win the GWC tourney, but the women are just playing better right now. I hope the law of averages comes true.

Haha how many posts do you two think you are missing and I bet I can find a way to add them lol. I don't know how, but I bet there is a way.
Yeah, Yote 53, the law of averages is a very good point. Plus, do the Yotes have what it takes to put it together? UVU will be give us a clear picture I guess, and I think the GWC is in Utah again.

Well there goes CF#1 pushing his weight around again and deleting as he sees fit. That makes a hole lot of sence. A board that is already desperate for activity so what better way to see that continue than to just delete posts and sensor opinions that don't sit well with him. Heck how do I get a status such as USD Law and especially Charlie. If I don't like things can I just make a request to have them removed as well.

Coyote Fan, the following are my feelings about your posts. I don't speak for anyone else. I questioned you in the past but I believe you are a great fan of the Coyotes. You want the University to succeed and get frustrated with athletic losses or administration decisions that do not correlate to what you feel is best for the University. You have the right to express such thoughts and I believe they should be stated. However, with that said, your chicken little attitude after a loss has run its course. You state you want to be objective and want to create a debate. I like, and assume, many of us here enjoy a good debate. What drives me away from you is your nonstop bashing and harsh criticism. You pass this off as debate, which it is not. I don't always agree with every coaching staff or administration decision but I also don't have an Armageddon freak out every single time something occurs that I don't agree with. It's one thing to be objective. It's entirely another to be overtly pessimistic and negative all the time. The University has plenty of momentum heading out of the transition. Do we need to improve and build off this momentem? No doubt, but that is the true in all aspects of life. We must all strive to be better and focus on a long range game plan to get there and not make rash decisions of firing/benching coaches/players based on one game or one season. I also have a feeling, right or wrong, that you want to turn each of your so-called objective/debate posts into a discussion about YOU. It gets really really really really really really really old. Christ. Mods can you move my post since I just ruined the NJIT thread with this post. edited for spelling

PierreYote,
non stop bashing, will you please elaborate. I haven't really been bashing either basketball team at least not that severely. I was very harsh at the end of the football season I will admit but it was deserved. I am not basing my decision of wanting Ed out because of one game or one seasons. It's because of multiple years of undisciplined play, inconsistancy not showing up for many games etc. I won't get into it because I have exhausted that already.
Pierre Yotes I have every right to call out Coyote Nation for not giving a crap about most of the games this year. It shows that the vast majority of fans are just bandwagon jumpers that don't really watch the Coyotes because it's the Coyotes but instead because they might have just joined a conference with South Dakota State in it.
Pierre Yote you are just like the rest of them. Since you only focused on the perceived negative comments where are your comments about the good posts. I am critical but also am much more congradulatory than anyone else on the board. I was almost the only one that realised that special season that the women had in 2008, was very complimentary and excited about the mens teams last year and in 2007. But do I hear anyone including those inconvenient facts when the constant bashing comes my way, that's right NO I DON'T. PY, if you are going to focus on the negative you better say just as much about the positive. If you don't you're just a hypocrite, wouldn't you agree with that?
Let for the sake of arguments sake say that I have a win loss record with positive vs negative postings. Also for arguments sake lets say that record is 10-2 since the basketball season started mainly saying positive things. Isn't that kind of what you are saying is that despite my 10-2 record that I am a chicken little and whatever other adjectives that you used in your post. Isn't that focusing on the 2 losses more than the 10 wins. Should I be fired for losing a game now and then.
Another things, since the Yotes were about 5-6 in football with mostly losses against FCS programs isn't it fair to say that more discussion should be a bit on the negative side since the record was below .500.
Any one more thing Pierre Yote fan. If it gets really, really, really old as you say, just don't read it. Don't respond to it and please just ignore what i post. That should pretty much clear away your massive problem about the board. That way you can use the other 30 seconds to get all caught up on the posts for the day.

Coyote Fan - I requested to delete it because it contained nothing about basketball. It only contained arguments about Fandom levels. Please don't turn this one into the same thing.
I'm not of any special status. Apparently, #1 just agreed with our request to delete it.
I appreciate when you have comments on actual games. What frustrates people is self promotion of Fandom, and the arguing that comes with it. The wishes of people are not that you leave (well at least me anyway), but that you don't make the threads about you personally. This is a USD board, not a Coyote Fan self promotion board.
If I can put it this way, don't be the Lakesbison of USD.
Happy posting.
