Some excellent numbers. Would have been the top performer at QB at the combine.

That is some good stuff and I don't even think his measurables whether good or bad are his best qualities. If you could measure his desire and leadership it would be off the charts.

All 32 NFL teams had scouts there which is great for Chris and what an impressive performance!! Wieneke ran a 4.69 40 which is slow for a wide receiver and that kind of time hurt him at the NFL combine! And reports say many pro scouts were unhappy that Goedert didn't run the 40 and nor did he at the combine--he would have also gotten smoked by Chris and knew it!! Chris out jumped him by 3.5 inches on the vertical too!! GREAT JOB Chris!!

You know darn well why Goedert didn't run the 40... he would've cramped up in front of all those scouts.

Strevler benefited from Goedert being a hot commodity as did the other athletes in attendance. That said, good for him. He deserves a chance in the NFL. He won't be playing QB, but he would make a great athlete. If he is flexible he will catch on with someone. By the way, I would hope he would smoke Goedert. If he didn't I'd be concerned. Goedert is a TE, 6'5" and 255 pounds!!!!!

So I guess Streveler now owes his whole career to Goddart. He also doesn't have any chance to play quarterback. Someone sure knows the Coyotes players much better than any of us do. Perfect example of a Jack's fans mentality to a tee.

jacksfan29--Facts are that Chris smoked Wieneke and Chris weighs more and obviously Goedert is embarrassed by his 40 time since he didn't run in the combine either so evidently he's slow for a prospective TE! And jacks are all supposed to be all world too?? Guess not--maybe some Joose for both would have helped!! Cramps really can't be the problem since only jack D players cramp up!

As far as Goddart is concerned if I have am a team there is no way I am spending a first round draft pick on a guy that isn't willing to show his 40 time on two occasions and lately he has seemed injury prone. That is enough to possibly drop him from a potential first rounder to a 3rd rounder or lower. Maybe now he is the 3rd to 5th tight end off the board. This could be costing him some pretty big cash. The mystery with him cannot be looked upon positively.
On the other hand with Streveler you can tell he has been training his ass off and looked good and didn't hide a thing. I don't always drink the red cool aid but Chris is a guy I want on my team in some fashion but probably my leader and quarterback. Obviously his game isn't to the point where he would be a high draft pick but could Chris maybe have turned a head or two enough for someone to consider a 6th or 7th rounder on him. If I am a team there is quite a bit to be gained with a player like him and very little to lose. The only thing I wish for Chris is that he gets an opportunity to come to a mini camp or training camp to show a team what he can do on a somewhat extended basis. Another thing I look at is his ability to get better from one season to the next. He has shown a ton of improvement and I like the fact that he is trending up.

I think comparing Strevelar to Goedert is like comparing apples to oranges. They aren’t competing for the same position so really what the hell difference does it make how the numbers stack up. Chris Strevelar is by far and away the better athlete. Goedert is one hell of a tight end though.
I have truly never witnessed a better leader in my life than Chris. Simply put...he is amazing. I couldn’t tell you if he’s a potential pro quarterback or not, or of someone would take a chance on him as an “athlete” or not. But he is one gifted football player. Period. Goedert is one hell of a tight end. I also question why he didn’t run the 40, on the surface that doesn’t look good to me but again I don’t know the pro game. Goedert is also very injury prone. Not sure if it’s bad luck, or he’s indeed a little unlucky, or he simply doesn’t have the toughness, but anyone that says this guy isn’t one heck of a tight end doesn’t understand the game of football at all. That kid killed us last year, and made one of the three best catches in the Dome that I’ve ever seen that kept their clock killing drive alive. He’s a man, and from what I’ve heard about him, I think a pretty good kid as well.
Bottom line is I hope both these young men have good fortune at advancing their athletic careers. We definitely are going to miss Chris. A great player but a phenomenal leader. To the naked eye, I think the game is Canada suits Chris better. Just my thought.

I think even the most ridiculous rabbits fan would say Chris was a better athlete* - and most of the scouts in the building already knew that too, but weren't comparing those two guys. Jacksfan29 was just unnecessarily pointing out that the reason 32 teams were there was because of Goedert - which is true. The struggle for Chris will be that he only played his position for 2 years, and his best qualities to play it at the next level don't show up on pro day (leadership, smart, adjusting, learning, etc.) * the only exception to this would be NDSU fans, who, for some reason, thought he ran a 4.8 40 time.

Chris had discussions with the Bears after his pro day yesterday. Goedert is a very good TE but the NFL is all about speed at every position. Him not running is definitely concerning to a lot of NFL scouts.

Love the reaction from the guy in the red shirt:
PS - I notice Chris was the only one who didn't wear any school gear. Which I only noticed because I saw a SDSU guy in rabbits stuff and though "he should just be wearing plain stuff so the videos/pictures can't immediately paint him with an FCS-guy-label before they see what he can do."
