51-38 at the half. Not as bad as it could have been but not a good defensive effort. I don't know if they Yotes have it in them to come all the way back to win. They need to play more consistant. I agree with PY, it's time to find out which players really want to be Yotes and which players settle on being passive Coyotes. Utah Valley is probably a 7th or 8th place team in the Summit. USD is going to need to up their game quite a bit next year to be competitive, epecially on the road in the Summit. Now we need the hearts to be as fast and strong as the potential on this team.

At least one would have a good chance to get a free tshirt or chance to shoot a half court shot to win the use of a dodge neon for a year. funny, I think I will have Charlie shoot my three pointer. I swear that furry guy is like 50% from the half court line.

There is a bidding process, but Ed Grom completely favors schools that aren't USD because he is bitter USD is leaving. Notice how he is always talking to players or people who aren't involved with USD.....
In terms of the defense, it's been known for a while the guards not named Cutler can't/won's play defense. They had Cain and Smith to bail them out last year though. Three-pointers are great and all for USD, but the 3-pointer shooters also give up way too many 3's themselves.

Off topic a bit but relates to our lack of perimeter defense and therefore lack of big man to hide the deficiency but besides Nimrod and Terrelle, both guards, do we have any big man on the radar?

You are not kidding. How do we get Cain and Trofolz in D2 but we can't even get a 80" pole to be installed on the side of the court now.

Not sure, I am a bit out of the loop on the recruiting at USD right now, but I would assume there is, plus Jared Bartling is red-shirting this year. I wonder if Conrad Krutwig is red-shirting too. Unless they are just seeing that little of playing time....I am guessing a big guy would be recruited?

Maybe if Ryun Williams coached the defensive part of the game for the USD men, their would be a better defensive gameplan lol.

seriously what happened to the defense this year. It used to be pretty good early in the year.

Are you sure about Bartling? He played a couple of weeks ago against HBU. I don't know the playing limits for redshirts but I assumed they pulled his redshirt status.

can we have a coach called Ryave Boolliams and just have two of them. One to teach offense and the other to teach defense.

It's now 61-45 for those that were wondering. Make it 61-48

I think if you played in less than 80 percent of the team's games you can redshirt, but that might be an injury situation? I think it goes both ways, but not sure.

I am guessing that means NOT playing in 80% of games at all.

Yotes have no answer on the boards. It sounds like there are alot of easy putbacks.
