Really excited about the new skill players in this class. Major gets at RB with speed and elusiveness. Two nice athletic outside WRs with really nice ball skills plus a Edelman-like athlete in the slot with the kid going from HS quarterback to WR. Welcome to the board! |

Has a strong leg with great distance and hangtime on KOs and accurate 14/18 FGs and 68/68 XPs! Can never have too many good kickers. Welcome to the Yotes Ben!

I can’t see anything. What happened? The juco running back who was coming in decommitted. He looks good in his hudl clips, but everybody looks good in their hudl clips. Maybe he didn't like the number of backs he'd have to compete against for playing time, maybe it was grades, maybe it was the lovely weather we have here in the Dakotas, who knows. I think we'll be fine at running back. |

I think that kid was from New Jersey so adverse weather likely isn’t the issue. Don’t come if you’re not committed. I’m curious if he now has to sit out a year? Anyone know

Anyone know His post stating that he has 3 years to play 2 would suggest he did not lose a year, and I feel like he wouldn't have to sit if this didn't count against his years of eligibility. My guess is that he underestimated the D1 FCS talent at running back and thought that he would come in as a junior transfer and start or play. He quickly realized that he would have to compete at high level with no guarantees.
You have to have mental toughness and the will to push yourself. I am not saying that he didn’t but the quick change of mind points to something he must of realized quickly that made him want to transfer.

sportschic said it all when she said "My guess", that's all any of us can do and her take is as good as any. I also agree with the mental toughness thoughts. We have to be realistic, when you first show up in Vermillion and take a look around and if you're looking for bright lights we don't match up too well with UCF or South Florida. Looking at the comments on his twitter account about his leaving it looks like many of his friends and prior teammates are in places like that. If they aren't all in we are better off without him. I wish him good luck on his life choices and football career.
