One thing we have going for us is that South Dakota is one of the top states people are moving to.
Whereas New York (location of Cornell) is one of the top states people are moving out of.
Maybe he'll get his degree and then move here. I think that would be good for him, too.
No sarcasm this time!

Cornell is an excellent school. Without its agricultural we probably wouldn't have cabbage....At least not modern cabbage.
(I hope everyone loves The Office as much as I do)

Question for Adm: isn't it time to erase the decommit on the list of "Official 2019 Commits"?
I guess there could be a thread/list of "Official 2019 DEcommits" for those who are interested. Just saying...

Looks like KU is now able to compete with the MVFC for recruits with Les Miles at the helm. Let's see if it lasts.

I was afraid of this when I saw KU hired Les Miles because I remember him having an offer from the Jayhawks. Any one else beginning to become concerned about our lack of commits? Not a good time to be short coaches when we need them to be out on the recruiting trail either.

I knew when Les was hired that he would be a problem for us. Kansas was a good state to go into for recruits that were overlooked. Snyder at KSU built his teams with JUCO players and the KU coaches have pretty much been incompetent so that left a lot of talent on the table in Kansas and the KC area. Now that Klieman is at KSU and Miles is at KU there are actually some coaches in the state of Kansas who will be looking for HS talent. They will do a better job of talent evaluation and will probably close off the borders to outsiders and go hard after in-state recruits. This means that honey hole down there is going to dry up.
Look at how the recruiting landscape has changed in the region the last few years:
Frost - NU Klieman - KSU Miles - KU Campbell - ISU Fleck - UM
These guys are all trying to rebuild programs and will be fighting hard for every in-state recruit they got, playing the numbers game, and dangling PWO offers and the promise of a chance to play P5 football. Recruiting is going to get even tougher for us.

Offers from Iowa State, Western Kentucky, James Madison, Charleston Southern, and Northern Colorado. Some nice company there.

I will say that although the recruiting class seems small in size so far, the quality of player seems to be at a very high level. As howlingyote pointed out there was a small group of graduating seniors so it would be reasonable to assume that there aren't that many scholarships to hand out. Quality over quantity can be a very good thing in that case.

And so far 3 have announced their release to transfer, and am guessing at least 2 (McCance & Morrison) were not on scholarship. Not sure if Amusan was on scholarship.
