According to his twitter page, the Coyotes just got a verbal from transfer QB Devon Moore from Iowa State. Devon was Matt Campbell’s first signee. Now plays behind Broch Purdy one of the best freshman QB’s in the nation. I don’t know much about the young man but must’ve been good at one point in his career. I’m assuming he has to sit out but don’t know that for sure No sitting out when you go down a level (e.g, Streveler). Agree he doesn't have to sit out but Streveler was a grad transfer. |

Probably just me, but Devon Moore's commit pic (above) was one of the better ones I've seen. I know you can't judge success based merely on a photo, but he's already off to a great start in my opinion!

The other QB is Zeb Nolan who has verballed to NDSU. Zeb did actually play at isu in games as opposed to Devon, but Zeb is a grad transfer with 1 year of eligibility. Zeb was on our campus for last home game but I think with Simmons having just 1 year left he’s got a better shot to play in Fargo

Just looked at Cyclone page and this year he was a redshirt freshman as he was redshirted in 17. Appears to sit out next year then have 2 years left. His first start just might be against the Cyclones in 2020. Irony huh? lol Transfers from FBS to FCS aren't required to sit a year. He would be eligible to play right away. He was the 57th ranked QB in the country coming out of high school. Waterloo native. 247 Composite shows him in 2017 as: 0.8468 rating 3-star recruit (That's a mid-high 3-star I think) #928 recruit in the country #19 Dual-Threat QB in the country #8 recruit in Iowa your number is right too, just parsing out the pro-style vs. dual-threat. |

Probably me as much as anyone. I asked a couple coaches about him today and they said he is a good QB but got off to a bad start when he tore his acl. Fast and decent thrower very good in run pass option. Good kid that just had a young (freshman) gun come to isu named Brock Purdy come to Iowa state and start as a freshman. The hand writing is on the wall he wouldn’t play unless Purdy got hurt.
Matt Campbell more than likely told him that it was in his best interest if he wanted to play to look to transfer. The irony is if Simmons starts his last year and Moore takes over as a starter, his first game would be against the Cyclones. If his knee is good to go it’s probably a good get.
