Does anyone think the altitude will affect our guys? I know when NFL teams play at mile high they have oxygen available and prepare to play at that altitude. I know Ogden is not mile high in Denver but could it be an issue. Thoughts? Altitude is a factor but not as much as sometimes made out to be. It’s as much physiological as anything unless you are in extreme heights. They’ll be just fine.

Pretty sure Pluto is one of those free stations you can stream. I know I have the app on my Roku. I'll have to try it out.

I think it will be interesting to see if Allen gets bumped to the bottom of the WR logjam or if he keeps his starting spot after getting ejected last weekend. With a position group that deep you can't get stupid unsportsmanlike penalties, especially 2 in one half. I think he is our best WR right now so I hope not.
The refs must be making a point to call unsportsmanlike calls this year. There was 5 or 6 in our game and I saw it called in a lot of other games last weekend.
Allen must have said something during the second penalty because if he received it for simply flexing his arms it could be a long year if the refs keep calling these.

Does anyone know what Nick Jensen did to get his 15 yd penalty? I’m surprised no one has mentioned this, as it turned a 3rd and 2 into a 3rd down and 17. Not very disciplined by a senior on our team. Call me old fashioned, but I think our team could be a little more business-like during the game. I’m all for having fun, but not if it costs the team penralties. Look at what Kai Henry did after he scored - went and handed the ball to the ref. Contrast with our second touchdown, where our receiver spiked the ball, did the Superman shirt-tear, and then pointed his hands in the air. He is lucky he didn’t get flagged for spiking the ball. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I think fun would be winning more games in the regular season, winning the MVFC title, and hosting playoff games in the Dakotadome in December.

Checked the weather and at kickoff temp should be low 80s, winds about 12 mph, and humidity about 10%. I like that last one!

Nick is a gentle giant and one of the nicest young man you will ever meet. Not concerned about it all. He's a high character guy.

Don't really care what they do as long as they're scoring touchdowns. And let's not forget Kai had a few 15 yarders himself last year. Everybody's out there competing and I like to see a little fire in our guys. I have to think last week was an unusual circumstance in that the refs threw all those flags. If it becomes a common occurrence then we can address that problem.

Nick blocked to the whistle on that play and the ref though it to be excessive. Now call me old fashioned, but I like lineman that block to the whistle. I’m all for protecting players, but there needs to be a balance of reasonableness between hard play and actual personal fouls.

If it becomes a common occurrence then we can address that problem. This might be a case where we agree to disagree. I’m with you when you say you like scoring a lot of touchdowns. I get that. And I think I agree in that in order to be proficient and a threat at all times there needs to be a certain amount of swagger. But my thinking is, and always has been, is act like you’ve been there before. It all starts in the NFL, when someone gains a first down or catches a ball acts like they just won the Super Bowl all by themselves. College and high school players mimmick that. And probably that’s the society we live in today.......look at me. I also like seeing the fire as well, but again, act like you’ve done it before. Celebrate with teammates, not make it one on one exhibits. There might be a game where it comes down to officiating, and I know for a fact that officials give breaks to teams that demonstrate good sportsmanship and have almost no leniency with teams that don’t. I was an official for a number of years, and when a team gains the reputation for being extremely cocky or engaging, refs look for it much quicker than they do the other team without that reputation. If we insist on celebrating to excess, at least make it a team celebration. Running backs don’t gain the yards by themselves. Receivers don’t catch balls they threw to themselves. I’m old school, and I know it, but act like we’ve been there before, so that when we do get there ( and we will ) this won’t be a learned behavior. I can almost 100% assure you it drives Coach Nielsen crazy. He’s not a showman.

I think the NFL touchdown celebrations are a huge waste of time and most are just flat out dumb. But that's within the rules of the game at that level. Wish it wasn't but the league decided to allow. But if a guy wants to beat his chest when he scores on Saturday in college, that's his call. I don't think his teammates and coaches are thinking "well I did a good job too but he's celebrating". Everybody's just hyped they scored. My point in the previous comment was I don't mind our guys getting a little chippy and playing with some nastiness. They've earned the right to have a little swagger. Obviously would never want anything to get out of control, but you get my point.
