Anyone watching the Indiana vs Grambling State game?! Grambling State up by 3 with :16.4 left in the 4th quarter! And that's a final! Grambling State 65, Indiana 62. Rats - was hoping to get IU undefeated. Was it trap-game-syndrome? Possibly. Grambling was definitely feeling their oats yesterday. I don't see how this helps us in any way other than (hopefully) Grambling winning lots of games down the stretch and improving their RPI. Perception-wise its a disaster. We need Indy to be perceived as good, and have a good RPI. Fortunately, the RPI doesn't differentiate between WHICH team you lose to. That only helps with the human perception. Our focus just needs to be keeping the number of losses to a minimum. That's what we can control.

We're not playing our best basketball right now. I hope we're able to hold off this scrappy group of ladies.

27-23 at the half. Very back-and-forth. Lots of fouls and turnovers. Ugly game. Clean it up and the Yotes will be fine.

Looks like the Yotes are emptying the bench with 3 minutes left up by 25.

I predict an abnormally low score for the Lions. They are averaging 65. Massey predicts 70-59. I'll guess 72-55. 67-40It's nice to play a team that is not a huge threat from the arc. We match up very well with those kinds of teams. Yesterday we disrupted their offense tremendously, and that was key in a foul-y sloppy game. Kunzer was 0-2 from the line, but Frederick was 3-3. I believe Kunzer's shots were early in her playing time, so it might have been nerves. She later got 3 offensive rebounds, so good effort.

Massey has changed its prediction since yesterday, and now has us slightly favored, with a likely score of 66-64. Either way, it should be a good, competitive game to learn from. I like the fact that Indiana is guard-led like Missouri. That will get us ready for the Summit well, I think.
Things Indiana does really well:
Shooting Efficiency / Offense
47.0% FG shooting (#16)------USD allows 36.7 (#85) 33.1% 3P shooting (#105)-----USD allows 30.6 (#170) 75.2% FT shooting (#39)------USD shoots 78.6 (#10)
74.8 Points/game (#59)-------USD allows 55.2 (#32) +15.5 scoring margin (#41)---USD getting +20 (#24)
Looks like the Hoosiers are a threat to put the ball in the basket. Both teams are used to obliterating opponents. Indy didn't respond well to Grambling's harassment, so hopefully our "Pestering Pack" will have a similar effect? The loss yesterday didn't do us any favors in terms of focus on Indiana's part, though.
