Revised scholarship picture:
2021-2022 team lose 2 seniors? (Arens/Kunzer) return 3 fifth-year Seniors? (Sjerven/Lamb/Korngable) (extra schollies) add 3 Freshmen (Carson/Larkins/Duffney 2021 class) two open scholarships
2022-2023 team lose 3 "extra scholarship" Seniors (Sjerven/Lamb/Korngable) lose 1 scholarship Senior (Sankey) add one Freshman (Bergstrom 2022 class) two open scholarships
2023-2024 team lose 3 Seniors (Guebert, Peplowski, Williston) add 3 Freshmen (Broughton/Demers/Kieffer 2023 class) two open scholarships
Looks like our 2023 class is filling up quickly, but there is still room for more! my guess is that they are keeping it open for a transfer player between now and next season. It would be smart to do that, given that we are pretty full and balanced right now. No need to look for transfers that would just be riding the pine. Maybe pick up a grad transfer player or two in the spring/summer when it is more clear where we need to fill holes. Injuries might play a part in that decision.

Wow watched her highlights. Talk about range. obviously she was just practicing for the new 3-point line she’ll be shooting from in Vermilion. Good thinking!

I just saw a tweet from Addison Klosterbuer, a 2023 from Rock Rapids Iowa, who said she had received an offer from the Yotes. South Dakota Attack.

That probably closes out our 2023 class. Four athletes 5-11 or taller, including a true center.
Also, all are from or very near the Dakotas. Good stuff!

I have a feeling that we will try to pick up another transfer center or power forward with some height to add to Joy Bergstrom in the 2022 class. 2022-23 will be Aspen Williston's last season with us, and 2023-24 will be Demers' first season. Would be nice to have a 2-year or 3-year transfer post player to play with both Williston and Demers. Let's face it: we need at least two players to fill the hole left by Sjerven.
In the 2024 class I think we will need to prioritize getting an elite PG type player, with 2024-25 being Krull's last season. Other than that, things seem to be very good on the recruiting front.

That's a Winner team lead by Bella Swedlund, too.

So this is interesting...
followed by this quote tweet:
So if Coach P is looking at Nagel or Emma Yost, both are 2023 kids. We already have four in this class, but I suppose there is another schollie left over from the 2022 class...
Yost is not followed by our staff on twitter, and I can't find one for Nagel.
Maybe it is the younger Yost or Koupal kids she is looking at? Apparently, all of them mentioned are SD Attack players.
OK, so I finally found one that is being followed by our staff, 2026 Ashlyn Koupal (8th grade). Time to start the Thread...

She's looking at the 8th grader. No doubt about it.
