They said they get measured with shoes off at the beginning of every season so definitely accurate heights are listed (add some inches for shoes and any inserts).

My generally unpopular opinion (though it should be OK in this thread) - I hope the NCAA doesn't mess with the basketball season to accommodate football. Let FB work around BB, whatever that may look like. FB had a full season last year, BB didn't, so BB should get top priority. (Yeah I know, FB and $$, but my understanding is March Madness funds the NCAA, whereas FB's TV money funds the individual conferences. MVFC's TV $$ is likely not too high anyway.) Because of their excellence and tradition everything should start and revolve around Coyote Women's Basketball. The program deserves it and almost always provides the goods. If I had to choose one sport to be able to play this academic year this is the one I would choose BY FAR.

I'm still thinking a conference play only season starting in January is our best case scenario.

I have heard very little on the status of the basketball season for this upcoming fall/winter (if there is going to be one at all). Has anyone heard anything on the likelihood of a season? I hope the program can at least play their conference slate but if there is no non con than it would not be a good bet that the team would have much of a shot at an at large big assuming the format of the tourney would stay the same. It is only 2 months from the typical start of the season.

A season is anticipated as noted above with a Nov. 25 start and an Oct. 14 official practice start. Appears there would be some non-conference games allowed but that remains to be seen. The Big Ten reinstating football certainly helps the look of a winter sports schedule. Stay positive and Go Yotes!

I don’t know if they’ll actually make the whole announcement today, because they have so many things to figure out. For instance, they could give an official start date, but where will they hold the non-conference tournaments? Will they be in their original places, or will they be moved to bubble sites? Hawaii is not allowing tourists right now, unless they want to Quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. Several other big tournaments may be moved, including to the Sanford Pentagon. They are looking at changing the minimum number and maximum number of contests allowed in order to be eligible for the NCAA tournament selection consideration. If they do go to a two week late start, it would put them at the week before Thanksgiving. Coaches are going to have to scramble to lock in games with teams they already had locked in last year. It’s a whole new landscape, so I think it’s going to take some time to iron out all the new wrinkles...

all in all that is very good news. After everything we've been through already I don't think we can complain about that too much.

Now the hard work begins as far as determining everything else. Will fans be allowed at all or on a limited basis? If it is limited I would think double headers probably wouldn't be happening. I wonder how the Summit Tourney would work. I am guessing by then that they might just pack it in as a vaccination may very well be ready for mass distribution by then. Baby steps, but yesterday's announcement was a giant first step.
