I saw on the NFL today they posted an All decade team for offense, defense, and special teams. Interested to see who y’all got as the 2010-2020 all Yote teams.

Not to be that guy, but if you are having an all decade team you need to limit it to 10 years which would be 2010-2019

To take some of the low hanging fruit, Darrin Greenfield, Tom Compton, and Phillip Powell.

Below is my rushed attempt at a starting 22. Apologies in advance to the Great West guys. I didn't watch very many games in that era (as opposed to basically every single MVFC era game).
QB - Chris Streveler RB - Trevor Bouma WR - Will Powell WR - Dakari Allen WR - Brandt Van Roekel TE - Connor Hermann OL - Tom Compton OL - Derek Chancellor OL - Sam McLeran OL - Matt Huffer OL - Nick jensen
DL - Drew Iddings DL - Darin Greenfield DL - Andrew Van Ginkel LB - Tyler Starr LB - Jet Moreland LB - John Wessel LB - Jack Cochrane DB - Tyson Graham* DB - Andrew Gray DB - Danny Rambo DB - Phillip Powell
K - Miles Bergner P - Cole Zwiefelhofer* KR - Paul Anderson
*Graham did finish here as a LB and I believe plays this position professionally, but spent most of his time here at safety *Didn't want to put Bergner in both K/P spots
A couple of these guys left unceremoniously, but I feel were definitely among the best to play here in the 2010s.
I'm bad at judging the OL. Picked 4 guys I remember being really good, and then McLeran out of respect.
I'm not sure Van Roekel would make anyone else's team, there's so many different receivers to pick from. I just loved watching that guy play though. I swear he could catch anything.
When trying to think of our return game all I could think of was Paul Anderson. He probably had the most returns. When was the last time we ran a kick back? I don't think I've ever seen it happen.
Alright, the bar has been set. Everyone feel free to put up something better.

It would be fun to have a poll with 5+ at each position and declare the team by forum vote.

Great list I will try to do some more research.*Graham did finish here as a LB and I believe plays this position professionally, but spent most of his time here at safety Graham is a safety in my book, also plays safety professionally. *Didn't want to put Bergner in both K/P spots book him at both even though we have had great punters since MilesI'm not sure Van Roekel would make anyone else's team, there's so many different receivers to pick from. I would consider Case in this category, but would probably agree on Anderson

It would be fun to have a poll with 5+ at each position and declare the team by forum vote. That sounds like a great idea. Give me some time and I'll get something going for everyone to vote on.

Below is the link for you to cast your vote for the 2010-19 All-Decade Coyote Football Teamwww.surveymonkey.com/r/RK22HYKA couple notes: 1. I've given you the option to select enough players to make a 1st and 2nd team. It is not ranked choice voting, but it will work out to make two teams if enough people participate. 2. I tried to include basically every single player who received significant starting time between 2010-2019. Prepare to remember some guys! Apologies to those left off, especially if you happen to visit the board. 3. The voters will decide whether we are using a 3-4 or 4-3 defense on this team. 4. SurveyMonkey only lets you put in 10 questions for free, so I left off returns and long snapper. I'm declaring Dalton Godfrey the LS for his forced fumble against state, and no one for KR/PR because there wasn't even one kick ran back in the entire decade (we gave up 8 returns for TDs in case anyone was wondering). Feel free to dispute these declarations. 5. I thought it was interesting that we only had 4 kickers make field goals in the decade, and only 3 punters saw the field. TE Josh Hale had about 10 punts, and Trevor Bouma finished his career averaging 67 yards per punt. Find me someone who tops that. Please let me know if you have any feedback about the survey itself. I hope everyone participates.

Wow! Thanks for doing this and great job. My problem with this is that I wasn't around for the first few years of the decade so I had no clue on who some of the players even were resulting in my choices being very biased for the '14 through '19 seasons. Had to speculate on the long term potential with some of the younger players who still have a few seasons to compete as well. And then there's Nathan Schultz. One season and a devastating, career ending injury probably kept him from being an all time great.

One season and a devastating, career ending injury probably kept him from being an all time great. Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to those 10-12 guys. 2013 was when I went all in on this team. I typed up quite a few names that I didn't know when listing some Great West starters, even though those teams contained some of our all-time greats. I went to at least one game each year, but not much more than that. I forgot about Schultz until I was looking through starters over the years. Didn't even get to finish his true freshman year and I still have to wonder if I'd be watching him on Sundays if not for that injury. I'd put Van Ginkel in the same boat for this purpose, given he was also done after one year. Does one fantastic season showing great upside put you on the team? Does a freshman on the 2019 team who impressed get a vote? Or do we go with the known commodity of a full career of contribution? These questions are what make polls like these fun.

Big difference between Van Ginkel and Schultz was that Schultz was hurt and Van Ginkel just up and left. I have no problem with a player wanting to challenge himself at a higher level, but when you don't inform the coaching staff, your teammates or even your roommate and you sneak back into town over break to get your stuff, I'm not putting them on anything. Have some common courtesy and decency to the people who believed in you and developed you. Same goes for any of our three infamous defensive backs. They really let their team down and don't deserve any accolades at all.
