That UNI-Wichita game was bonkers. This could be an interesting one. Should be a W for the Yotes but I don’t think it’ll be a cakewalk.

Wichita barely beat Southern. This needs to be a win and i think it will be. I am going with 80-62 Yotes. Even South Carolina barely had an answer for Sjerven. I dont think the Shockers will other than to pack the lane.

One player i would like to see get going is Guebert. By this point her sis was making a big impact for the Jacks.

Reading the WSU message board thread, UNI controlled the game until the fourth quarter, then WSU came storming back.  Not sure what happened specifically, but that Asia Strong scored most of her points in that quarter and in overtime, supposedly. 

I'm sure our girls will be well-prepared.  Plenty of time to game-plan.  With so many young players, though, strange things can happen.  I'd love for this to be the game that Lamb goes off for 4-of-5 from the arc.  I do think we should control the paint and get some 2nd chance put backs, unless Sjerven gets into foul trouble early.

Yotes win. Good team effort. Pretty poor shooting across the board but good to be in the win column.

Wichita St. just looked like an undisciplined team. They got pretty frustrated with the yotes D. Sloppy fouls and a ton of turnovers.

Happy to see we have a good core group of leaders on the floor this year. The leadership really showed up when Sjerven had to sit with early fouls.

Overall, good win. Still plenty of room for improvement.

Looked like a pretty rough game all around. I'm really impressed by the freshmen's ability to step up and play physical and strong on the road and get a W. Obviously I'd prefer Arens and Ugofsky to be healthy and playing, but that's not an option right now.

It was not pretty and thankfully Lamb was hot early and Wichita can't shoot free throws. However that freshmen class is for real and the defense is excellent.
