Nice team win. Proud of how the bench players stepped up when fouls became an issue. And Liv was incredible. She played a ridiculous number of minutes.
ORU has some players to look out for as they mature.

The school of thought that tournament basketball gets more physical because the officials let them play more sure didn't manifest itself today. Seems like the refs were calling it fairly tight. Personally, not a fan of rough, physical style of play because I think it negates skills somewhat, but a team must be able to adapt either way. Guebert has really stepped it up the last few games along with the rest of the bench, especially seeing that Watson and Hempe are out. Obviously makes a huge difference to be able to count on the bench.

One thing to add, Watson was on the bench today ready to play. She has been cleared to play!

Lesson be learned. I certainly wouldn't be overlooking anyone in this tourney, especially NDSU if we make it to the semis. That will not be an easy game. NDSU still has to beat Denver. That's why they play 'em!

This Coyote team is ravaged by injuries and losses of players. They just keep right on rolling. The Jacks lost a key player in Selland and maybe another and they are just not the same. It appears that the Coyotes have the better system as they can win minus 2 or 3 key players. I think they just have more talent up and down the roster. Imagine next year when Liv, Chloe, Hannah and perhaps Monica are all back. Oh and I forgot about Watson too. Damn that is gonna be fun. I think for scheduling fairness it would be nice if all the teams had to switch venues next year. The Coyotes would have to play 2 at ORU and NDSU but get to host the Jacks for 2. It would only be the fair thing to do. Imagine the crying from up north if the Summit League was actually fair for a change.

Great steady team effort by the Yotes today! I do like how no one seems to be talking about the Yotes losing two key players for the whole conference season and they push through. Some are even blaming the venue! I have to admit I never like to see injuries even if it would benefit the team I support. I like to see my team beat their opponents at full strength. It eliminates any doubt. With that being said I would have love to see the Yotes at full strength this year as I believe the outcomes of a couple of games may very well have been different. Adding Monica's skill set (offensive & Defensive) and Kyah's all around athleticism would have really been fun.
The benefit of the injury is that it allowed some of the freshman to gain valuable playing time that will shorten the window to improvement. Go gettem on Monday Yotes!

I wondered if they wanted her to go through a full game prep first- shoot around, warm ups, etc before working her back in? Could just be being cautious too but curious to see if we can get her some minutes Monday.

At the end of the Argus story on the game, it was noted that they want Kyah to go through the pregame process on Saturday and practice on Sunday and see how she feels afterwards.

It’s official. Bison in the semifinals. Definitely looking forward less to this game than the final.

It is simple to me. The Coyotes have to at least bring the same energy or more than what NDSU brings. Remember this is the Coyotes tourney to lose. NDSU is the new kid on the block. Show them how it is done in the big moments. The Coyotes have to get out and guard that three ball. Hannah is the X factor that no other team in this tourney has. Use her to the fullest and please stay out of foul trouble Hannah. If the Coyotes can play the inside out game and make NDSU pack the lane than the Coyotes should have open looks from outside. Lets go get this one because I don't see Omaha or Western Illinois being able to touch the Coyotes in the final.
