69-55 Omaha is in the title game!
Lots of firsts for that program in this tournament. Things coming together at the right time. Crazy that we still haven’t played them yet this season.

end of 1 and the coyotes lead 19-10. very good D and the offense is warming up. liv is a great player in these tight games as she is so crafty in being able to create her own offense if needed. both teams came to play but especially south dakota.

the difference in this game is the defense for the coyotes. it was 20 but the halftime score is 42-26 coyotes. ndsu does not quite have the continuity on D that the yotes have.

speaking of omaha i believe they are the only team that has now defeated both the jacks and the coyotes at the summit tourney. they now have a chance to do so in the same year.
bison are now only down 46-33.

4:56 to go in the 3rd. back to an 18 point lead. the bison are pesky but this coyote team is not to be denied so far. one would think this bison team is the biggest speed bump to a tourney title.
55-35 now

jeniah playing well as she is driving the final nails into ndsu. i hope the bison make the wnit if that tourney is held this year. Postseason opportunites are there, but less this year. The WNIT was 64 teams with one auto-bid per conference, this year it is 32 teams, mainly at-large. Four pre-determined locations for early rounds, Final 4 and Final TBD, probably similar to normal situation (teams bid). The WBI is only 8 teams this year, too. I think the Bison should have a shot at the WNIT with their #100 NET rank, but who knows? In a normal year I'd call them a lock. More P-5 teams than normal might skip the WNIT this year.
