Girls got a win and punched their ticket today. Let's keep the good stuff rolling this weekend.
Don't know much about the opponent but I do know that we need to figure out the running game and quickly. Give Camp some time to throw.
Super pumped for a home game. The fam and I will be in Verm fairly early. Been craving a basket of Leo's wings and a cold one. Anybody know what the tailgating situation is like with COVID?

There is no tailgating this spring season.

My first sporting event since last year's Summit League tourney. It's gonna be weird and I don't care. Just get me in the dome.

Nor much interest in this game? It's basically Thursday of game week and there's no discussion going on. We lose one game and everybody loses interest.
If I only see one area of improvement, it had better be on the OL. We need to run the football effectively. I think Camp can sling the ball around, but he needs to have time to do it.

I think there's plenty of interest. Just that focus on the Summit League tourney has dominated the discussion lately.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Women's Basketball deserves the most discussion of any sport right now. They have the street cred to deserve it.

Agreed but can we not handle more than one topic at a time? Football has its first home game since 2019. I'm a little concerned that I keep seeing ticket information posted on social media. I figured we would at least be able to sell out 25% capacity or whatever it is.

It's not surprising the hype is low for football since it is being played out of season and it is an abbreviated schedule. I'll be there and will have a good time. Some people are still hesitant to be around large numbers of people. I wouldn't look any deeper into ticket sales than that right there. Enjoy these 4 home games for what they are and hope we can have a full capacity Dome this fall.

I checked the available seats this morning. Their are 22 seats available in Section Q (south end on the west side) and 38 seats available in Section C on the east side. Section C is student seating, but with students still on spring break some are available for purchase.

I was told by the ticket office I could get up to 5 more tickets, I bought two extra. The way they have it spaced out is there are seats blocked out around me that only I can buy. Like my little own pod. So, if you're a ST holder you may still have access to tickets in your buffer zone regardless of what is still on the market. Worth a call if you want to take a friend.

I submitted a question for Bob on the Coyote Report asking how we get better in the trenches. According to him the OL got better in the 2nd half, and that group has been a little rusty due to the layoff. One could argue the OL looked better in the 2nd half because UND went more passive with their front. But that group, and the entire offense, must play better. I don’t think our defense can survive with the offense sputtering and going 3 & out over and over.

The key to the change in the 2nd half was a minor (but major) change in what blocking schemes they used vs the overload blitz scheme and slanting defensive line stunts UND was using in the 1st half. We went from zone schemes to gap schemes in the 2nd half and that neutralized the line stunts. We also used speed option to attack the perimeter and take away the line movement, we had a little success with that in the 1st half. The problem in pass protection was that UND was overload blitzing off of our RBs alignment and unfortunately we were sliding our OL away from the RB so it put 2 LBs on our RB to block. The old Steelers zone blitz from the early 2000’s.

Watching Carson Camp and seeing his jersey number 18 got me wondering... is that the highest numbered QB jersey on a Yote? Wesley B had 17 but I can't remember anyone having 18 or 19 before. Anyone got some knowledge on this?

Tied 17 at half after a missed chipshot from Lorber.
Gave up a 100 yard KO TD and got intercepted inside our own 30.
Yotes are making some good plays just a few killer plays and having a hard time punching it in when close to the goal line.

Anyone got some knowledge on this? Off the top of my head I don't know of any, but Ryan Justice and Noah Sheppard both wore #16. We need kiyoat to do his thing
