Yeah, I wouldn't trust Ed with all of the money details. I wouldn't think the Coyotes got more than half a million, because that would seem pretty crazy to pay and FCS school win or lose. Heck, some schools won't pay an FBS school over half a mill to come play them.

I think usdlaw is correct on the guarentee money. Thats about what SDSU got from going to Iowa State and I suspect the Minnesota payout was in that range. There have not been many FCS collecting more than 400k for any game. 325K will pay a bunch of bills. Why would USD get some of the Big 10 network money? Unless there was a stipulation in the game contract, these revenues would ordinarily be split amongst conference members. That just does not sound right.

I tend to agree with you guys because I was shocked at the numbers. Just telling you what I heard on the Sioux City station.
Anybody "in the know" know the actual payout for these two games, broken down per game.

Yes, I wouldn't trust anything out of Sioux City that involves USD unless it's said by Jeff Tobin. They are just jumping on the bandwagon basically. I wonder if you will see anyone from the SCJ at the game this weekend.
Minnesota only has a budget of about $10 mill, so 700,000K that has some of their Big 10 money seems like a reach...

I got the # from someone who knows. I'll double check the actuals and get back to you. I know he said $225K for Central FL. I'll get actual Gophs from him too. I also heard what we will get from Wisconson and Air Force next year, but can't remember exact. I'll try and get those again too. After that Saylor said he only wants to play one FBS school a year so it doesn't hurt our chances at making playoffs.
On a side note, I thought I heard there is a cap of $400K on these type of games. I'll check on that too.

Funny, I point blank heard Coach Ed say on 620 KMNS Sioux City Tuesday night around 5:30 say that USD received $700,000 for the Minnesota game. He actually said, and I parapharase, "once you count up the Big Ten Network money..." I didn't just pull that figure out of nowhere. I didn't think you did, just thought I would let you know the actuals. Ed has had so many interviews since Saturday he probably still doesn't know what day it is. There was even a nice article in the Seattle paper today. Pinch me I'm still dreaming IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A COYOTE!

Gophers was $375,000.
What is more important than the payday is whether all of you are members of the Howling Pack. If you are not, JOIN THE PACK, what are you waiting for ...xmas. Send me a message and I'll get you the info. You can also pay monthly by auto withdrawal. Don't forget that tickets at high profile games will be given out based on priority points. You earn priority points by joining the HP. Let's get this basketball arena built. $25 a month to join the coaches club. Heck I don't care if all you join is the White Club at $100 a year or $8.33 a month, just JOIN THE PACK.
Did you know that we have over 7,000 alumni in Minnehaha County alone and only slightly more than a 100 a HP members. We have almost 7,000 alumni in Lincoln, Union, Clay and Yankton and only about 320 of them are members. I forgot there is also only 7 out of 323 Turner County grads that are members.
We need your help. We need volunteers to ask their friends and co-workers.
How about someone from Rapid City? We only have about 20 out of 3,000 alumni in Pennington Co. Is there anyone on this forum from Rapid, if so PM me.
I need one person from each of those counties who will help get members. Remember as we move into D1 your season tickets are going to be contingent upon your membership in the Howling Pack.
Why wouldn't you want to be a member? It's a tax write off. Plus the HP is getting more socially involved in networking. Things like Coaches Corner, Lunch with the U, tailgating, Coyote Landing, etc. Join your friends, join your classmates, but more importantly join the Pack.

Timely topic. We were sitting around last night talking tailgate. We pretty much got everything covered on who is bringing what and one of the guys who isn't bringing anything but his own beer asked what he could do. I turned to him and said "You can join the Howling Pack, have you sent your money in yet?"

Of the 17,323 grads you just mentioned in those counties, if only 20% JOIN THE Pack at the minimum $100 level that would bring in almost $350,000/yr. Some can/will contribute even more.
Does the Pack have a signup booth at Tailgate Nation? Do they have a booth in the Dome?
Tell a friend to JOIN THE PACK today. Even Jacks fans want to JOIN THE PACK and they can do so anonymously if they choose.
