OMG time out before a made field goal. That can be a bad omen. Yeah I have no idea what that was. General rule is you never waste a timeout on special teams, and especially not when you're kicking a field goal

Game management has been poor. We just iced our own kicker.

Of course the Coyotes don't get it on 4th down. Isn't that just typical Coyote football. Those are the things that just can't happen.

Getting excited for Friday, figured I better game a game thread going. Regardless of what happens Friday night, I couldn't be more thrilled to see the Yotes take the field in front of a big crowd in September. Hopefully we're looking at a full schedule this year with no crazy cancellations. As for predictions, I really have no idea what to expect. We were a bad team in the spring, there's really no other way to describe what happened. On the other hand, KU went winless last season. With a brand new staff and only a month to install their schemes, anything can happen. From what I can tell, they want to hang their hat on the running game and their RBs are supposed to be pretty good ball players. Not unlike us, their biggest weaknesses are the lines. Sounds like their OL was terrible last year but they think they've improved quite a bit up front. Their defense doesn't concern me as much as long as we are able to reasonably protect the QB. If we let them turn this into a battle in the trenches, I don't really like our chances. From what we saw this spring, I don't think the Yotes are built to win ball control, grind-it-out kind of games. My opinion, our best chance to win this one is if we turn this into a high-tempo affair. We need big plays and to score quickly when we get the ball. Force punts and create a couple turnovers on defense and I think we're in business. Go get em fellas.

Fire this coach tonight. Do not let him back in the dome.

Win or Lose I consider this game about the same as playing Western Illinois on the road.

I considered this game one where a win was a good one and a loss was a bad one.
