Man, I like the optimism on the board, I wish I shared it. I think SDSU is really good. It did not surprise me the ease with which they handled NDSU. I feel like we will have to win the turnover battle to have a chance, being even in the turnover battle won't be good enough. I don't know how they lost the two games that they did. Did they have some major injuries? The team I saw play Colorado St would not have lost those games. Hoping the crowd can really help us out on Saturday. I heard someone acting like it might be close to a 50/50 split. I can't imagine that will be the case. I will be pissed if it's anywhere near a 50/50 split.

The games we lost we really should have won and won them going away. The first 2 losses I blame on inexperience at the QB spot. If we played those two teams now, we beat them both. And the ISUr loss is easily a win if Camp doesn't go out.

I will be pissed if it's anywhere near a 50/50 split. We've averaged right at about 5,500 for home games in a stadium that holds a little less than 10K. OTOH, this is the game that casual Yote fans will show up for, so I'd guess that might be in the 6k-8k range. Plenty of seats for Jacks fans to fill in the rest. so 60% to 80% red? I'll predict a 75/25 split, which isn't great, but isn't 50/50 either.

I think you're probably going to be about right with that prediction (at least when it comes to the ratio - I don't trust attendance figures at all...in Vermillion and elsewhere). The red has always well outnumbered the blue in the dome, and that's even with the fan apathy that surely led to some USD fans waiting too long to buy tickets in the past. We'll notice that there is blue in the place, but I don't expect it to be that significant. I can't say I really remember noticing them much in the past games in Vermillion. I do sit where they shouldn't have tickets though.

I can not recall ever having been to a SDSU football or basketball game in vermillion that has even been close to 50/50. I will say though that there will be enough jacks fans to take away a good slice of the home team advantage.

FWIW, I got an email this week that some tickets were returned unused and we're for sale to HP/season ticket holders. That usually means the visitors allocation.
I'm sure there will be too much blue for my liking but I would guess it's going to be somewhere around 75/25.
Could be wrong though.

Game Day boys and girls. Not sure how everyone’s feeling about this game but I’m confident as hell we are going to play our rear ends off. I believe we will go toe to toe and exchange punches with the Jacks. Last punch wins.
I don’t buy into this mystique of SDSU being so dominant. Just because the Argus Liar portrays them that way doesn’t mean that’s how it is. UNI and SIU didn’t think so either. USD is not the USD of the past. We are faster, stronger, and bigger. Where I give the Jacks the advantage today, but disadvantage the next few years, is our average age of players on the field. We play a crap load of very young guys. They don’t. No excuses, I say our young guys walk right into the middle of this fist fight and don’t back down.
Lastly, my hope is the refs don’t affect this game either way. We have been the victim of three horrendous crews this season. Jack fans tell me they’ve gotten the shaft once or twice. Let the players decide this game. I’m confident as heck we head to Fargo looking to get a piece of the title. I know we’ll fight and not back down. Let the best team win

3 hours and change left to gametime…hoping for a clean hard fought contest by both teams with no injuries and one where the officials are there to stop and start plays. Those of you going to the game enjoy it, and don’t forget Herbster deemed this the “blue out” game, wear your blue in support of the society to save the blue fin tuna’s spawning habitat. 😂
Thanks all for civil conversation on this board and the PMs this week.
One more thing:
GO BIG!
GO BLUE!!
GO JACKRABBITS!!!

One hour before game time in the east concourse I would estimate that 50% we're Jacks fans. I don't think it will be 50/50 but early indications probably put the total close to more like 1/3 Jacks fans than 1/4. Hope not. My gut is not feeling very good about this one at this point.
Coyotes in the traditional red helmets and jerseys with white pants. Jacks in their most recent traditional Blue pants and helmets with white jerseys. Looks better than the god awful yellow pants.

This is a serious question why are there suites being occupied by jacks fans? They hate the dome so much but they certainly love to make their presence known at it.
