I added a different format so it would be easier to read on a smartphone. also, reduced the positions to three types: PG/SG, Wing and Post. So it would be like 1/2, 2/3/4, 4/5. That makes it a little easier to categorize recruits.
Let me know if the new format works better for you in terms of readability...

updated with 2 freshmen on campus, and 2 transfers signed! scholarship numbers for each class fixed, too. Looks like only 2 scholarships for the 2024 class (Grzesk and Sheppard offered).

New roster out with some changes to class for players: goyotes.com/sports/womens-basketball/rosterSo we no longer have any Juniors for the 2022-23 season: Ugofsky now listed as a senior (will not be taking a Covid year), and Hempe now listed as a RS Soph. For Hempe, I'll guess they were able to manage a medical redshirt (in addition to her taking a Covid year). Crazy. She is a "Biomedical Engineering" student, which I would guess is a masters-level program! So that makes 3 seniors, 0 juniors and 6 Sophomores! So as of now there would be 5 open scholarships for the 2023 class (we have 3 committed + one offer right now), and 0 for the 2024 class (we have two offers, to Sheppard and Grzesk). I'm sure they have a plan for that. We just don't know it yet. Also, listed heights are... lower than advertised for new players. I suppose that will always be the case. 5-8 A-Ambrosi 5-9 Bergstrom 6-0 Demers 6-1 Haydon Still good height, just not what was said in recruiting

I like the look of the roster across the board. Decent length up and down, especially as some of these women play bigger than they are. If our young players develop faster than anticipated we'll be a force to reckon with in March. Very excited to see how things progress in Greece.

How did Demers go from 6-3 when we signed her to 6-0 now? That's quite a difference.

I am always amused when I look at the rosters from the WBB and WVB from year to year and review the heights. Coaches have differing thoughts. So coaches list their players much taller then actual as to give other teams something to think about, some chose to list their players shorter than actual as to give the other teams false confidence. USD has over the years fell into those categories. I truly don't hold much confidence in the height's listed. I just like to see what height they play to. I just want the best players out there.

Right. Coaches will often freely admit that where they list heights is somewhat fluid based on perception/strategy. I think when it comes to recruiting, the heights listed for HS kids on Maxpreps or Prephoops or Hudl or AAU teams or by High Schools is often at least an inch taller than truth, sometimes 2 or even 3. Usually not the other way around. I'm excited to see what all of these players bring to the table under a new coach, both newcomers and the existing roster. I have low expectations for the non-con, but I think we should be a contender by the end of the season with the talent we have. Should be fun, as always.

Have no clue on the new players, but I've been around many of the returnees off the court and the coaching staff seems to be really sandbagging on the heights. Doesn't really matter one way or another. You're either a player or you're not.

Never understood the desire to INCREASE your listed height on a roster. In no way does it ever help you. It's always a boost to walk out to the jump ball and see a guy/gal who you've mentally prepared to be 2-3 inches taller than you looking you right in the eye.
By the same token it's also a boost to have an opponent look at you and say, "Man, you're bigger than I thought you were going to be," or just see they're thinking it.

Added Sain to 2023 prospects. Also, I think I know how this staff might get some 2024 scholarships. We would have to either A) play under the 15 scholarship limit for another year, or B) have one or more of the 4 current sophomores that are planning on taking a Covid year to not take one (not here, anyway). That was the case with Ugofsky this year, so it has some precedent. Having 6 Sophomores and no Juniors this year will probably change next year. Maybe based on how they play? Some might be asked to move ahead in class, or be encouraged to transfer. Or some girls might just choose to transfer (up, down, or laterally) anyway, based on playing time or pursuing a masters. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I'm guessing this means a new commit? Not sure which class, so I'm just putting it in here....
