Regardless of seed, this game is a regular-season championship game for our women. Win and we get a share of the title, lose and we come in 2nd.
Looks like the Rabbits have the upper hand in NET tie-breaker for tournament seeding, and with how the rankings have really solidified, I don't know if that changes with one game. Regardless, this is a huge game. Regular-season titles matter. This team and program deserves another one.
With that having been said, I wonder how long we keep starters in this game? How important is seeding vs. the risking injury/rest considerations? I'd guess we treat it like we have every other game, so similar substitutions. Just win, baby.

I am going Yotes blowout 82-57. With the flight the players might be a bit fresher. Co conference title awaits and the Yotes are going to Macomb with a purpose. Sorry Necks.

Oof. Can't get the lid off the bucket. Getting the looks we want but nothing going in.

Pretty clear the quick turn around is catching up to them. Legs look tired and a step slower than we're used to seeing

Down 31-30 at the half. I hope we aren't looking past this game...

Down 31-30 at the half. I hope we aren't looking past this game... I have no stats because WIU is a dying institution, kind of the KMart of the Summit League. But the halftime score was truly a result of shots not falling. I don't know that a Plitzuweit coached USD team has ever looked past a game, at least not one I can remember anyway. They just got off the court 48 hours ago basically. Tired legs leads to poor shooting.

75-48 final. I'm going to guess we will maintain the #2 seed and play WIU on Saturday afternoon.

That 2nd half was domination. I believe the Yotes will stay the #2 seed, we shall see.

As it stands right now, we would have to jump 3 places to overtake SDSU. With very few teams playing tonight and the tie-breaker being determined tomorrow morning, it will be very difficult to have that sort of trajectory. I believe most of our non-conference foes (Pitt, A&M, Northwestern, and Creighton) lost on Sunday, so that did not help our cause.

I hope it wasn't tired legs - will need to play three games in even less time starting in 5 days.

Congratulations Lady Yotes --Summit Champions!!! And we all know who won the total points head to head--USD--regardless of other tie breaker gimmics that have nothing to do with conference play!!!
