...Kramer(our only commitment for next year) is still coming based solely on his twitter activity... ...Bruns was coming regardless... ...some, not all, would have transferred regardless... ...not everyone in the portal is gone gone... ... Sounds like Casey will be staying if he wants to ... These are all good things (at least, not an indictment of Lee's firing). I think we are on the start of a very good path. I think EP will have a little runway, but our guards look pretty darn good right off the bat. Hoping Mason reconsiders the portal. We need to get some big men, and develop the ones we have. Tasos and Zizic are staying so far, AFAIK. Would be nice to add another 6'-8+ kid to free Tasos up as a PF.

Do the new transfer rules allow Bruns to play immediately? I have gotten confused on what rules are in place and/or what rules were temporary measures.

I think that right now athletes can have a one-time transfer with immediate eligibility. (That was new just last year) If they transfer twice, then they might have to sit out. But "grad transfer" is an exception to that, too.

Damn, I saw there was some activity on this thread and was hoping for some news on a transfer or two that we picked up.

Fuller to NAU. I was hoping he'd be convinced to stay.

I guess it's "going home" for him, but program-wise This is a lateral move at best. We have played NAU a lot lately, and are 3-1 against them since 2017. Maybe he is looking at playing time, or a potential down first year. Oh, well.

Or, maybe it's as simple as his high school coach is the NAU head coach and he has a chance to get closer to home and family after two weird years with Covid and the coaching change. Good for him, hope he has a great final season.

Flagstaff versus Vermillion is going to be a losing battle a lot of the time, unfortunately.

This makes him a Jack...a Lumberjack. We were there a couple months ago and I was baffled by the blue and yellow Go Jack's! sign in the C-store window, until I remembered their mascot.

Flagstaff versus Vermillion is going to be a losing battle a lot of the time, unfortunately. Probably for a player from the west/southwest, but not necessarily for a midwestern kid.

Fuller to NAU. I was hoping he'd be convinced to stay. Fuller was leaving, coaching change or not. Let's have a cleanse of those that don't want to be here and have a fresh start.
