There is no fan bus organized by the athletics department. There were no charters in the area available for this trip on this short of notice.

For any Coyote fans planning to use the interstate when traveling south, please check out road construction around the Council Bluffs/Omaha area. We were traveling north on I-29 a few weeks ago and discovered that the interstate was closed to all traffic headed north. Our detour took us 40 minutes out of our way to the east before we got back on the interstate just north of Council Bluffs. Things may have changed since then but save yourselves some aggravation (and gas) and check it out beforehand.

Lest I forget "drive to arrive" too!

I drove from Yankton to Wichita using US Highway 81 in February. It was a pleasant drive, pretty much free of frustrations. Unless new projects have been started I suggest considering this route. While there, I suggest Chedder's Scratch Kitchen. I know it's a chain, but very enjoyable.

We took 81 all the way to Wichita on the way to Oklahoma a few years back. No problems at all. Really not sure why you'd go through KC unless you really wanted some BBQ.

Is it 2 or 4 lanes on US 81? Been wondering what the best route from SF is, as apple maps shows same time whether you go to York and down 81, thru Yankton and down, or to Omaha then down US 75 through Topeka and over on I 335.

Any ideas on how many tickets the athletic dept was given. Would be great if those would sell out.

Also, just to confirm if/when the Yotes win, will this be the furthest any Summit team has gone in the tournament on the woman’s side. I know Missouri state made it to the final four in the 90s. Curios to know of any other mid major programs have achieved what they have.

Final thought…. Are we now in the territory that any game played is banner worthy in the csc? Ex: Sweet 16 qualifier and so on

Some two lane and some four lane. The two lane was generally not congested.

yes on furthest for a Summit/Midcontinent team. The Jacks have gone to the 2nd round three or four times, and the S16 once. Youngstown State got to the 2nd round in 1998, too.

In terms of how mid-majors have done in the past?  There have been mid-major programs wining the whole thing.

1982 Louisiana Tech national champs
1985 Old Dominion national champs
1988 Louisiana Tech national champs

We were originally given 100 for our allotment. We asked how many more we could have and our rep said unlimited. We are nearing 2,000 tickets sold through the USD ticket office at this point. That doesn't include Coyote fans who purchased directly from INTRUST Bank Arena. We are expecting a HUGE showing of red in Wichita.
