Win out? LOL. How about if we win another game. Our QB has 2 completions, 2 INTs and has lead us to 3 first downs. Total domination again. Line play on both sides of the ball is pathetic, which certainly doesn't help the QB. Men against boys out there. Hard to see who we're going to beat going forward. We'll probably end up with 4 or 5 wins which is Bob Nielsen's floor is. I thought we would lose these games but not this particular in this fashion. If Bob is our best play caller we are in trouble. LOL!!!!

We’re pumping millions into a program setting them up to recruit top talent and have the best and we can’t even compete with the top 10 teams. If you’re okay with the occasional upset and a Play-off birth every 4 years then cool, but we’ve shown we don’t belong in the playoffs and that Bob is not the guy that’s gonna take us there.

The issue is that Bob's floor and ceiling are right next to each other. It's like Todd Lee is coaching our football team. Good enough to beat bad teams but not good enough to beat good ones. Generally competent but not good. It's maddening. Maybe Herbie will take a cue from his men's basketball move.

I give Todd Lee some credit though, he had a couple seasons of tough luck and was still able to end his tenure with a winning record.

It wasn't going to get better. No player he brought in was as good as the ones who he inherited. With Bob it's like continuously ramming your head into a brick wall. You will always end up with a headache and you know it. Yet you do it anyway.

Easy guys. Bob got us to the playoffs last season and has won some big games. Maybe it's as simple as waiting for the investments to payoff. He's getting some good recruits.
Disappointed but not ready to move on. Talk to me in two years and if it's still the same old same old then definitely.

I'll elaborate. Talking to some old Yotes at the golf outing and they recounted being recruited showing pictures of a Dome they never actually got to play in, or maybe only a season.
Bob's only been able to physically walk, I think, two recruiting classes through a renovated Dome. More time is what I'm saying, that's why I said two years, a full 4 year recruiting cycle.

You aren't necessarily wrong but a lot of us are sick of getting drubbed in the exact same way 5 out of every 6 years. I think we underperform our talent level. That is coaching. Our offensive plan every week is the same regardless of the opponent. When we can't execute it we have no ability to adapt. Defense has kept us in games but they can't be on the field 40 minutes a game.

Nielson almost looks disinterested on the sideline...no emotion at all.....I'm ready to move on and find someone who can bring some much needed energy to this program. Not someone who looks like he is trying to decide what to order off the Silk Rode menu while standing on the sideline.

So, USD is 2-0 since then. Can you tell me why USD cancelled the spring game two years ago? 1) Did they have a Covid problem. 2) Was is because they were 1-3 so they thought they should just punt and get ready for the fall season. 3) Were they getting players injured so they thought they should just rest their players for they fall (since it was only a few months away). 4) Was there some other reason. Thank you! It’s pretty simple, they had too many players with covid. They weren’t ducking anyone. First game got ppd by WIU because it was allegedly too cold outside to practice and they didn’t have an indoor facility. We played every game after that until NDSU had covid the morning of the game and had to not play. I honestly can’t remember why UNI game the following week got ppd. Then we had covid on our team ppd the SDSU game. Then we were willing to play the final game rescheduled with WIU, but they conveniently cancelled after playing all their home games but not wanting to pay to travel. We played 3 road games and 1 home game. To say we pulled the plug in 2020 for any reason other than a global pandemic that the vaccines were as useless for stopping transmission as cloth masks is poppycock. We might show up and get our ass kicked, but we show up and play if possible. Thank you! I figured Covid had a lot to do with it but I did not know if it was USD or the other teams that had it. It looks like the timing of all teams involved was just bad luck for USD. It just sucked having to play two seasons in one calendar year.

2 more years puts Bob at 9 with usd. He’s currently in his 7th season, these are his guys. I respect the opinions out there, but it’s hard for me to continue supporting this trajectory.

PATHETIC! If you don’t trust your QB on 3rd and 4 and 3rd and 6 to convert and choose to stay in two tight end sets and run the ball just to hide your QB, there are issues. Camp doesn’t have the yips, it’s no passing game design by the coaching staff or understanding of what they might be doing defensively in those situations combine with a QB that doesn’t understand what looks represent certain throws. Perfect example is the interception in the end zone. That ball was a back shoulder (ala Aaron Rodgers) throw to Bell all the way and Camp throws it inside to where the DB was coming from, at worst it’s an incompletion. We are playing to Camp’s deficiencies and that is no way to call an offense. Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball because that’s easy to call and very little thinking involved except what formation to run it out of. Very depressing and passive offense!

I’m not sure that walking recruits through the dome helps in recruiting. It’s an old building, not an overly impressive unless it’s -30 outside. 30+ years ago when I was being recruited I thought it would be awesome, I went to camp in July, it was hot and when it rained the ceiling leaked. Fiends that played in it didn’t really like it. I played elsewhere (up north) but when we talk about the dome there isn’t much to say that’s good. The high school all star game has been played there the last few years, talking to participants, most aren’t impressed with it. I’ve talked with kids from Sioux Falls area and athletes at Augie, USF, SDSU, DWU and DSU. In my opinion when you can roll your carpet up and put it back down you aren’t going to have a great surface, my son. Didn’t like it at all, hard, slippery and too big of seams. Augie, USF, SDSU and the area turf fields that are outside are better surfaces they all told me.
