No chalkboard material statements coming from me. If our guys don’t have the deep down drive to pound on the Jacks, then I don’t know. Our defense is good enough to extend our winning streak to 3. Our offense needs to step up and impose their will running the ball. Give Carson or Bouma time when we do throw.
I would huddle up and shorten the game as much as possible. Our defensive front 7 has to neutralize their front 7. We have been successful doing that the past 3-4 years, although we took a loss once or twice when we outplayed them on the field but not the scoreboard. To me that’s the measuring stick. Do we know how to win in games like this? Confidence levels can get tested when vocal crowds get loud. Can we handle that? To me, that’s what determines who wins this game. If we can establish the run and go on 4-7 minute drives, not do the foolish things like sack/fumble, or throw a stupid interception, we are fine.
The leader of their board calls in 49-3 Jacks. He’s a good guy, intelligent, and well respected. However he wears blue shaded glasses although he got his “money maker” degree from the real school. He did his fun times in Cow Town.
Yoteforever calls it 26-21 Coyotes
GO YOTES!!!!

Schedule fatigue? Let's go Yotes fans, one big win and our schedule will have a whole new look to it! Was thinking about that this morning - this is the 4th best team we have played so far this year. Schedule fatigue seems to have set in. But, it is a rivalry game. So I feel like someone should mention it has been 1,418 days since the Yotes lost to SDSU in football. Think of how much has changed since then....

Schedule fatigue should be over. If we hadn’t had the bye week I’d agree. That neutralized it in my opinion. It’s time to ramp this up and be who we can be. If we are who I think we are this games gonna be a fight.
Nothings changed. 26-21

The fan base has lost momentum with this start and then a bye week. The team can get that momentum back with a win in Brookings, but another loss and the D-Days crowd at the actual game will be thin.

Can you tell me why USD cancelled the spring game two years ago? 1) Did they have a Covid problem. 2) Was is because they were 1-3 so they thought they should just punt and get ready for the fall season. 3) Were they getting players injured so they thought they should just rest their players for they fall (since it was only a few months away). 4) Was there some other reason. Thank you!

Thank you! Why did NDSU cancel on us? Why did WIU cancel twice? It's a stupid question, and it does not surprise me at all to see your fans continuing to pose it.

NDSU had a one week Covid problem but they got healthy and finished their season. For Western Illinois, it was probably a combo of things (some I know but I am guessing at some). They were 1-5 and near the end of their spring season. They had several players that were injured and didn't have anything to play for. Since the fall season was only 3 months off, they decided to call it quits. I do not know if Covid (during the spring season) had anything to do with it or not.

Thank you! This is a bad take lol. The spring season was a farce from the very beginning. State had a decent playoff run and came up short in a season where like half the teams in the country didn't even play. Way to go. If you want to keep living in the past, we can bring up the timely cramps from 2016 (I think).

LOL - do SDSU fans really want to open the COVID can of worms? I'm pretty sure SDSU fans should want to let sleeping dogs lie...
SDSU's position in the Dakotas is not what it once was. Since 2019 (or maybe even 2018), the only Dakota school SDSU has a winning record against: NDSU The gap just isn't what it used to be since USD/UND first transitioned.

Some institutions followed NCAA, Summit League & MVFC protocols and others didn't.
If anyone truly believes that any institution avoided having any games cancelled on account of COVID issues on their teams and at the same time followed established and agreed to protocols, they are delusional.

Ethics and Integrity questions from a fan base who's team literally faked injuries to slow our offense down all too recently. bold strategy cotton.
